The Commissioning & Start-up team for the EMEA region is responsible for the CSU phase of projects for production of green and blue hydrogen, CO2 capture, ammonia conversion and cryogenic technologies such as air separation and hydrogen liquefaction. We collaborate with the commissioning functions in the other Air Products regions, and share a global skill pool of discipline experts.

We are looking for a flexible, multi-skilled Commissioning and Start-up Engineer. You will be member of the Commissioning and Start-up team of our projects from development until start-up.
The position will be based on The Hague (Netherlands) or Hersham (UK), and will include temporary assignments at project locations in Europe and the Middle East, on attractive International Mobility conditions.

Responsibilities:

As member of the Commissioning & Start-up Team you will work on our project through all phases: design, construction, commissioning and start-up.
During the design phase you will work on commissioning & start-up plans including design reviews, procedures, commissioning schedule. You will provide technical and operational input to the engineering team, including safety in design, systemization and operability.
Develop commissioning procedures and hand-over plans through construction, CSU and operation. Prepare and use Completion management tools such as SmartCompletions.
At site you will be a member of the Commissioning & Start-up team, work safely and in close collaboration with your colleagues in construction, commissioning and operations
In between projects, you will work in Air Products’ Engineering offices, providing design input, develop schedule & budget estimates for future projects and structural improvement of the commissioning discipline.
Contribute to continuous improvement, project evaluations and implementation of lessons learned from previous projects.

Required Experience & Skills:

At least 5 years experience in commissioning, start-up or operation of industrial or natural gas projects. Experience in air separation or hydrogen projects is preferred.
Mobile and flexible for temporary assignments and regular business trips for more than 50% of your time on average.
Skilled engineer or experienced technician in at least one of the following disciplines: rotating machinery, instrumentation, process control, process technology, operations
Experience with completions or commissioning tracking tools, system-based transition through the phases mechanical completion, commissioning, start-up and handover to operations
Experience with working in multi-disciplinary international teams .
Knowledge of relevant industrial standards and work processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications
