The position

As an  Engineering Manager  at agap2, you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects over the years, based on your experience and interests. Projects within industries such as Banking, Fintech, Telco, Retail, Sports, and Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

You will design and implement a transformation plan for two Engineering teams within the Finance product area.

The primary objective of this assignment is to increase innovation and delivery speed by establishing high-performing engineering teams.

• Assess the current ways of working across both Engineering teams
• Identify key bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the software development process
• Evaluate collaboration, delivery performance, and team dynamics
• Deliver a current state assessment report, including findings and improvement opportunities
• Design a targeted improvement strategy
• Define concrete initiatives to enable high-performance team characteristics
• Prioritize recommendations based on impact and feasibility
• Deliver a formal improvement plan
• Implement selected improvements together with the teams
• Support and guide organizational and process changes
• Measure and validate the impact of implemented improvements
• Deliver a measurement report outlining achieved outcomes and performance improvements

What you bring to the position

• Extensive experience as an Engineering Manager, Agile Coach, or Transformation Consultant
• Proven experience building and scaling high-performing engineering teams
• Strong understanding of software delivery processes, Agile methodologies, and continuous improvement practices
• Experience leading organizational and process transformations within technology environments
• Ability to work independently and manage complex improvement initiatives
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
