About the Role

Are you a highly technical and data-driven Paid Media Manager ready to make a significant impact? We are seeking a passionate individual to join a dynamic Growth Marketing team. This is a hands-on execution role where you will directly influence critical marketing strategies, solving complex optimization challenges and leveraging data to drive key business decisions. You will be instrumental in shaping how the company reaches its audience, contributing directly to campaign success and the evolution of in-house media execution capabilities.

This is a 6-months opportunity for a registered freelancer in the Netherlands. Full-time (40 hours/week) and onsite presence required. 

What You’ll Do

• Own the day-to-day execution and optimization of performance-driven campaigns across various advertising platforms, including Search, Demand Gen, YouTube, and Performance Max.
• Build, launch, and continuously optimize campaigns with a sharp focus on efficiency, incrementality, and long-term business impact.
• Drive continuous improvement in campaign structure, bidding strategies, audience segmentation, and keyword strategy to maximize overall performance.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to translate overarching business objectives into scalable and effective media strategies.
• Partner with creative teams to develop robust testing roadmaps and continuously enhance creative performance.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of campaign performance using first-party and platform data, translating insights into actionable optimization recommendations.
• Challenge and validate platform-reported performance through broader measurement frameworks and business outcomes to ensure accuracy and strategic alignment.
• Support the transition from agency-managed execution to an in-house operating model, helping to elevate the technical expertise of the team.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience managing large-scale advertising campaigns on major platforms.
• Agency experience managing complex performance marketing accounts.
• Strong expertise across Search, Demand Gen, YouTube, and audience-based campaign strategies.
• Deep understanding of keyword strategy, query mining, audience segmentation, and campaign architecture.
• Strong understanding of advanced measurement frameworks, including incrementality testing, Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM), Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA), and various experimentation methodologies.
• Proven experience with automated bidding strategies, including Target CPA, Target ROAS, and Maximise Conversion Value, with a clear understanding of their application.
• Experience managing significant media budgets across multiple markets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify optimization opportunities beyond standard platform reporting.
• Comfortable working directly within advertising platforms with minimal external support.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience working with first-party data, offline conversions, enhanced conversions, and privacy-first measurement solutions.
• Familiarity with modern analytics platforms such as Google Analytics 4 or Adobe Analytics.
• Comfortable operating effectively in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities and a high degree of ownership.
