ph3Job Description /h3 pThe bEnterprise Data Director (externally referred to as Chief Data Officer - CDO) /b plays a strategic executive role, responsible for defining and implementing JDE Peet’s bglobal data strategy /b - ensuring data is managed as a key corporate asset that enables value creation, operational excellence, and innovation. /p pSitting within the bGlobal IT (GIS) /b organization and reporting to the bGlobal IT Director (CIO) /b, this role partners cross-functionally with IT, business functions, compliance, and local markets to enable a truly data-driven organization. /p pYou will lead the development of JDE Peet’s enterprise data strategy across governance, quality, architecture, literacy, and AI-readiness, while fostering a culture of data accountability, insight, and innovation across the company. /p h3In this role you will: /h3 h3Lead and Shape the Data Strategy /h3 pDevelop and execute a comprehensive benterprise data strategy /b aligned with business goals and digital transformation ambitions. /p pDefine the target bdata operating model /b, including roles, responsibilities, and data capabilities across the enterprise. /p pBuild, lead, and mentor a high-performing global team of data professionals. /p pContinuously evolve JDE Peet’s data capabilities, ensuring readiness for AI and next-generation analytics. /p h3Drive Governance, Quality, and Compliance /h3 pDefine and implement bdata governance policies /b across ownership, stewardship, quality, and lifecycle management. /p pEnsure data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with regulations such as bGDPR /b. /p pStrengthen bdata quality and integrity /b across structured and unstructured data sources. /p pPartner with Legal, Compliance, and IT to embed bprivacy-by-design /b principles. /p h3Architect and Scale Data Platforms /h3 pDesign and manage a bscalable hybrid data architecture /b integrating structured and unstructured data (e.g. SAP S/4 HANA, Salesforce, OT data). /p pOversee bdata platform selection and implementation /b, in alignment with global technology strategy. /p pManage external system integrators to ensure cost-effective, high-quality delivery and support. /p pEnable adoption of badvanced analytics, AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI /b technologies. /p h3Foster Data Literacy Business Adoption /h3 pAct as the internal bevangelist for data as a strategic asset /b, driving awareness and adoption across all functions. /p pImplement bdata literacy programs /b and promote self-service analytics. /p pMeasure and communicate the business value of data initiatives -from revenue growth to risk reduction. /p pLead the organization’s readiness to bscale AI and monetize data assets /b. /p h3Build a Data-Driven Culture /h3 pEstablish a global network of bdata stewards and local data owners /b. /p pCreate forums for sharing best practices and innovation in data management. /p pPromote collaboration and transparent data-driven decision-making across the business. /p h3Qualifications /h3 pWe are looking for a bvisionary data leader /b with a passion for transforming data into business value. You are both a strategist and an operator - capable of driving enterprise-scale change while inspiring teams and stakeholders around a shared vision. /p h3To thrive in this role, you’ll bring: /h3 pMaster’s degree in Business, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. /p p10+ years of progressive experience in benterprise data management /b within global organizations. /p pProven experience building bdata governance, quality, and architecture /b at scale. /p pStrong understanding of bbusiness operations /b and cross-functional value drivers. /p pTrack record of bleading large-scale transformation /b and fostering a data-driven culture. /p pExceptional communication skills -able to translate complex data concepts for non-technical audiences. /p h3Preferred: /h3 pExperience in bCPG, retail /b, or similar complex environments. /p pFamiliarity with modern bdata platforms /b (e.g. Snowflake, Azure, GCP) and bdata cataloging tools /b. /p pExperience applying bAI, ML, GenAI /b, and emerging bAgentic AI /b use cases. /p h3Additional Information /h3 pThe future of work is hybrid, with both office and home playing an important role.
