WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

As the GL Accountant you work closely together with your colleagues of the Finance team (total of 4 colleagues) and together with them you ensure that internal as well as external Financial reporting is correct and complete.

In your role you are in charge of the General Ledger administration and you ensure a timely delivery of an accurate Profit and Loss Statement.
Furthermore, you assist in carrying out VAT returns, CBS reporting and potential other returns and ensure that the internal and external reporting is done in accordance with Dutch legislation and regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensuring an accurate, complete and timely ledger administration (assets & liabilities, profit & loss, internal controls) and arranging periodic connections.
Monitoring the integrity of the financial figures and ledger accounts.
Coordinating intercompany relationships.
Checking and preparing VAT-returns.
Delivering any information to CBS and any other tax authority.
Checking and improving current financial process with the organization.
Primarily responsible for the month end file.
Responsible for any ad hoc queries (from internal or external stakeholders) with regard to GL.
Assisting the team with monthly, quarterly and annual reports and closures and supporting the team with other administrative work.
Link between finance and other departments regarding any queries etc.
Integral part of royalty runs
Processing of invoices/payments(average of 40% of your time)

DESIRABLE TRAITS:

Minimum bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting
You have a minimum of 2-3 years of work experience preferable in an international environment;
You are capable of doing analyses in Microsoft Excel;
You have a hands-on mentality and work very accurate.
