Solution Architect Cyber Security

As a Solution Architect within Damen Naval’s IT Staff Department, you will be responsible for designing IT solutions for various business and IT projects. You will develop standard solutions, create designs, guide IT projects, and collaborate with our IT engineers to build and improve solutions. Working in a complex environment focused on building naval ships with approximately 1200 employees, managing cyber security threats, and incorporating security by design are critical aspects of your role. You will work on a variety of IT projects and programs that match your skills and experience, with opportunities to broaden your knowledge and tackle new challenges.
You will join an architecture team comprising 10 specialists in both enterprise and solution architecture. We use the TOGAF framework and model our environment with the Archimate modelling language. You consult on and design new and current IT solutions.
You guide project teams in making the right technological decisions.
Cooperate with the Cyber Security team and security architects to make sure our technical solutions are secure and compliant
Cooperate with the Enterprise architects to make sure our solutions are in line with the high-level design, (IT) strategy and architecture vision.

10+ years’ experience working on IT solutions as either an engineer or architect

• 5+ years’ experience working on IT Architecture is preferred
• Good command of the English language and the ability to speak and understand Dutch.
• Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.

Flexibility to work from home up to two days a week.
