What to expect

Sazanka Restaurant is a Japanese Teppanyaki Restaurant where the Chefs prepare the tastiest fish, meats and vegetable dish on a hot iron griddle. The intimate setting of shared tables creates an atmosphere of close contact between the Chefs and guests. At Sazanka you will work with colleagues from different cultures and they all work together as a team. Ingredients are of top quality, combined with the broad selection of sakes and wines. Delivered all together with the world class Japanese style service.

As an apprentice, you are responsible for offering the highest level of service in Sazanka Restaurant. You are also responsible for assisting guests with the menu and serving dishes. Your main tasks will be:

• Operational tasks in the restaurant, such as advising guests with the menu’s and serving dishes;
• Maintaining contact with guests in foreign languages;
• Performing Mise en Place activities in the restaurant;
• Following guidelines with regards to safety, Arbo, hygiene and HACCP;
• Working in a multicultural environment.

Don't worry you will not be working alone. Besides working in your own team, you will also work with other departments in the hotel. Only by working together can we achieve the best results. You will work shifts throughout Monday to Sunday (Wednesdays are always off). You will work 5 days per week, 7.6 hours a day. You are available to work on public holidays.

• You are flexible in regards to your work schedule; 
• You are a student at one of the (hotel) schools in the Netherlands;
