This role will be based in our Amsterdam office. /p pThe EMEA Finance organisation is a team of approximately 70 supporting the EMEA region of FTI Consulting across all areas of Finance: Billing, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounting, Tax and Planning Analysis. This role is focused on accounting and supporting our business Segments in the reporting of their monthly PL performance from revenue recognition through to EBITDA. /p h3What You’ll Do /h3 pParticipate in accounting for country finance activities, primarily revenue recognition. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS, as well as experience with revenue recognition, reporting, and controls. This person will report to the Benelux Finance Director and will be a key role in preparing financial statements for the Netherlands to support the business growth. /p h3Monthly Accounting Close – primarily focusing on the Dutch entities /h3 ul liRevenue Recognition: ul liReview sales contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition under ASC 606 for US GAAP and local GAAP /li liAnalyse and understand various products/businesses and revenue/expense streams to ensure proper setup in the system and proper revenue recognition /li liMonth‑end financial close review of revenue and expense ledgers with closing schedules: prepare revenue journal entries and account reconciliations /li liCreate and analyse revenue‑related reports /li liInvolvement in monthly revenue estimates /li liParticipate in evaluation and documentation of revenue‑related policies and procedures /li liPrepare and post monthly journal entries to record: ul liwork in progress ("WIP") and accounts receivable reserves /li libad debt provision /li limonthly payroll, based on payroll reports from external payroll agencies /li liprepaid expenses and expense accrual schedules /li /ul /li /ul /li liPreparation of general ledger account reconciliations in line with SOX requirements /li liAssist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts /li liManage intercompany loan schedules and record monthly interest accruals /li liPerform inter‑company reconciliations for multiple EMEA entities /li liPreparation of general ledger account reconciliations in line with SOX requirements, including monthly submission into the FTI Blackline environment /li liAssist EMEA Finance team in the enhancement of month‑end processes /li /ul h3Statutory Audit Process /h3 ul liAssist with the preparation, finalisation and filing of annual statutory accounts primarily for the Dutch entities /li liAssist with requests from internal audit team for US GAAP testing and group wide audit requirements /li liParticipation in other statutory audits of EMEA entities where required /li /ul h3Other Compliance /h3 ul liReview preparation of the monthly, quarterly, annual VAT returns and EC Sales for the Dutch entities, coordinating with outsourced accountants/tax advisors and submission to the relevant authorities /li liCoordinate with outsourced accountants/tax advisors to deliver other local compliance requirements /li liReconciliation of VAT (VAT return to statutory accounts) /li liSupport the Benelux Finance Director in managing all Netherlands and Nordic finance requirements /li liGo‑to person for all accounting issues for the Netherlands; technical accounting, finance processes and approvals /li /ul h3How You’ll Grow /h3 pWe are committed to investing and supporting you in your professional development and we have developed a range of programs focused on fostering leadership, growth and development opportunities.
