Structural Designer

h3Design structures that are used all over the world /h3pFrom naval vessels to offshore installations: as a Structural Designer, you’ll work on structures that are built worldwide and used intensively for many years. You’ll translate technical challenges into smart, manufacturable designs that are safe, strong and practically feasible. /ppUsing 2D and 3D models, you lay the foundations for complex structures. You work closely with engineers and other disciplines to ensure that designs are not only technically sound but can actually be built. You think ahead, identify potential issues before they arise and come up with solutions that work in practice. /ppNo two projects are the same. One day you might be working on a defence project, the next on an offshore structure. It is precisely this variety that makes the work interesting. You liaise with colleagues, clients and suppliers, both nationally and internationally, and see how your design becomes a reality step by step. /ppYou’ll be part of project teams consisting of five to fifteen specialists. Within the Structural team, you’ll work alongside two to five designers and engineers. You’ll report to the senior or lead structural designer, who in turn reports to the project manager. The atmosphere is open and pragmatic.
