Technical Project Manager — Customer Projects

ph3Own the Handover. Drive the Build. Deliver the Lens. /h3 pbLocation /b: Rotterdam, NL bCommitment /b: Full time bExperience /b: 4+ years /p pYou're the person who turns a signed contract into a finished lens. /p pAt AddOptics, prototype speed is a competitive advantage — and you're the one who protects it. The moment Sales closes a deal, you pick up the Statement of Work and ask the questions that matter: what exactly needs to happen, and how fast can we build it? From that point on, the project is yours. You drive it from handover to delivery — ensuring the Prototype Engineering team has clear requirements, priorities, and timelines to execute successfully. /p pYou are the bridge between Sales, customers, and the Prototype Engineering team — ensuring that what’s promised also gets clearly defined, prioritized, and delivered accordingly. You speak both languages: you can hold a technical conversation with the lab and a clear, confident one with the customer. Project ownership isn't a slice of this job — it's the whole job. /p h3What You’ll Be Working On /h3 ul lipTaking the Statement of Work from Sales and translating it into a concrete action plan: what needs to be ordered, what needs to be built, what needs to be confirmed /p /li lipTranslating customer requirements into clear, actionable project plans that enable the Prototype Engineering team to execute efficiently /p /li lipInitiating supplier orders without delay and aligning lab capacity with the Head of Labs /p /li lipKeeping the customer informed throughout — proactively, clearly, and at the right level of detail for a technical audience /p /li lipStaying on top of every moving part: specs, timelines, dependencies, and final output /p /li lipCoordinating priorities, requirements, and timelines across Sales, customers, suppliers, and the Prototype Engineering team /p /li lipCatching risks before they become problems, and acting on them first /p /li lipBuilding the structure and rhythm that keep fast-moving projects on track — and improving how we run them as we grow /p /li /ul h3What We’re Looking For /h3 ul lip3–7 years running technical projects, ideally in optics, hardware, or precision manufacturing /p /li lipA sharp eye for detail — you notice when the output doesn't match what was asked /p /li lipStrong process discipline: you build structure where there is none, and hold it under pressure /p /li lipClear, confident communication with engineers and customers alike /p /li lipComfort reading and interpreting technical scopes of work /p /li lipThe ability to thrive in a fast-moving, early-stage environment where priorities shift /p /li lipA genuine pull toward project ownership — this is a management role, and driving projects is what gets you out of bed /p /li /ul h3The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here /h3 pYou get energy from closing the gap between what was promised and what the Prototype Engineering team delivers.
