This includes researching, strategizing, and implementing best-in-class practices aimed at creating a safe environment for our employees and guests. /ppIn this role, you will lead the rollout and maintenance of the Another Star Safety Security framework globally, with a particular focus on the US market. Mentoring and guiding a specialist, you will oversee gap analyses and enforce citizenM standards for Fire, Food, and Workplace Safety. The ultimate objective of your role is to fortify the resilience of our hotel operations and elevate guest and employee satisfaction across all compliance domains. /ppWe are looking for an experienced, high-impact safety/security professional who thrives on operational risk management, strategic workstreams, and cross-functional leadership. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in this domain, you will regularly collaborate with senior leaders across multiple functions within the Support Office, including Operations, Legal, HR, Facility Management, and Food Beverage. /ppYour primary focus will be our US hotel portfolio and will include collaborating closely with our US teams. This involves adapting your schedule to US East Coast hours approximately two days a week to ensure seamless collaboration with regional teams. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliPartner closely with the Global Head of Risk Control to define and execute the global Operational Risk Compliance strategy, acting as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME). /liliContinuously improve, innovate, and promote global Safety Security processes and SOPs to enhance the long-term resilience of hotel operations. /liliSpear(initiate) head the development and rollout of regionalized versions of Health Safety Manuals specifically tailored to US codes and regulations. /liliCo-Lead external safety and security partners in the US to ensure rigorous implementation of the operational-compliance framework, and oversee regular audits and operational risk assessments to proactively adapt to changing operational needs. /liliRepresent Operations and champion the Another Star Business Continuity Management (BCM) program globally. /liliHold global ownership of the corporate CCTV policy, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and safety standards. /liliSupport Another Star’s Head of Insurance by coordinating, planning, and executing Insurance Risk Engineering inspections, as well as managing the subsequent follow-up actions. /liliInvolved in establishing robust safety and security processes for new hotel openings across the US. /liliOptimize Food Safety, Fire Safety, and Workplace Safety management to maintain a unified global framework with necessary local variations; ensure all documentation, requirements, and incidents are meticulously logged using our compliance software. /liliPrepare and deliver advanced analytics, statistics, and strategic reports to update senior management on safety and security performance. /li /ulh3Qualifications / Skills /h3ulliMinimum Bachelor’s degree in the field of; Health Safety, Security, Risk Management, Crisis Management, or similar. /liliRelevant work experience in HS, security. /liliWilling to work from our office 2-3 days a week. /liliAdapt to US East Coast hours approximately 2 days a week. /liliFluent in English. /liliSmart thinker, team player, and problem solver. /liliCurious researcher with a big ambition. /liliSelf-motivated and positive influencer. /li /ulh3Locations / hours /h3pThis position will be mainly based in Leiden, the Netherlands.
