Health Safety Environment Engineer

Are you an ambitious QHSE professional looking for a new challenge working in the offshore engineering sector? HSE Recruitment Network are partnering with a leading global offshore engineering services specialist who are looking to take on a project-focused QHSE specialist.

Role : Project QHSE Engineer to support various global projects related to the offshore engineering field. You'll be joining a team of experienced, international safety specialists, supporting multiple projects that may be anywhere from Brazil to Rotterdam to Singapore. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running, while working well within the team you'll also be able to work without too much guidance.

The Company : a leader in the offshore engineering services field, this company has a varied and diverse portfolio of projects with a very strong pipeline for the coming years. While it is very well established in the industry, the company is continuing to grow due to its reputation and increasing demand for specialist expertise in the offshore engineering sector.

Location: based near Rotterdam in the Netherlands. We are open to providing relocation support for the right candidate, provided you have the relevant experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities: you will provide QHSE expertise on projects from tender stage through to completion, including:

• project documentation and providing guidance on all high-risk activities throughout the project lifecycle
• continuous monitoring and review of risks
• supporting and facilitating the project teams with risk assessments, audits, inspections and verifications
• deliver training, coach managers and ensure that (where necessary) QHSE improvement plans are implemented and executed
• act as the link between the project team and the corporate safety team to ensure work is done to the high standard expected
• liaise with client, project team and QHSE colleagues to ensure the highest standards of safety are implemented at all stages of the project
• conduct accident investigations and monitor follow up and corrective actions

What we're looking for:

A QHSE specialist with at least six years' experience in the offshore engineering or marine environment. You will be able to quickly get up to speed with the company's standards and working environment, and be keen to make an impact on day one.

You will have:

• an internationally recognised qualification in QHSE (MVK, HVK, NEBOSH Certificate)
• excellent people skills and a collaborative way of working
• a solution-oriented and proactive attitude
• a methodical and structured mind with a knack for analysing, planning and organising

You will be based in the Netherlands or be willing to relocate here on a permanent basis (please note, relocation will be considered only for exceptional candidates who tick all the boxes)
