Application Engineer and Power Management

ppbHow do you get generators, batteries, solar and wind power to work together reliably? As Application Engineer Power Management, you advise customers on exactly this, solve technical challenges, and commission systems on site. /b /p pYou’ll mainly work with solutions from the Danish manufacturer DEIF. Caldic Techniek expects strong growth in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and you’ll have the room to become our technical specialist in this area. /p h3What will you do? /h3 pThe core of this role is technical. You support customers before and after purchase, working closely with account managers, suppliers, and engineers. /p pIn practice, you will: /p ul liAdvise engineers and customers on controllers, PLC systems, protection relays, and power converters /li liThink along on the integration of generators, batteries, solar, wind, and energy management systems /li liAnswer technical questions about configurations, software, firmware, error messages, and system integrations /li liAnalyze more complex issues and coordinate with DEIF’s engineers where needed /li liPrepare, configure, test, and commission systems on-site at customers or on board vessels /li liPrepare technical quotes and support the account manager in customer meetings /li liRecognize commercial opportunities and help translate technical advice into an order /li liOccasional international travel is part of the role /li /ul h3Why this role is interesting /h3 pThe energy transition is making electrical installations increasingly complex. You’ll work directly with DEIF, follow product training, and grow into the go-to technical expert for customers and colleagues. /p pYou’ll sometimes travel for pre-sales advice or to commission installations. It’s precisely the mix of advising, analyzing, commissioning, and customer contact that makes this role stand out. /p pYou don’t need to be a DEIF specialist yet. You do need an electrical engineering foundation that helps you get to grips with complex electrical systems. /p pIt’s important that you: /p ul liHave a bachelor’s-level background in electrical engineering, industrial automation, energy technology, or a comparable field /li liHave experience with electrical installations, control systems, automation, or power management /li liCan analyze technical problems in a structured way /li liEnjoy working with customers and can explain technical information clearly /li liLike picking up quotes and commercial opportunities alongside technical work /li liSpeak good Dutch and English /li /ul pExperience with power generation, emergency power installations, generator control, BESS, PLCs, commissioning, or maritime installations is a plus, but not a hard requirement. /p h3Working from the Netherlands or Belgium /h3 pYou’ll work from our office in Rotterdam or in Belgium. If you choose Belgium, we expect you to be in Rotterdam on average one to two days a week. This keeps you well connected to the team and our Dutch customers. /p pYou’ll be employed by the Caldic organization in the country where you work, so employment terms may differ slightly by location. /p h3About Caldic Techniek /h3 pCaldic Techniek specializes in generators and the control and protection of energy systems. In an increasingly complex energy landscape, we deliver top-quality products that reliably perform at their best, day after day. /p pYou’ll join a team where people know, help, and value each other. We take the time to find the right match. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
