Senior Accountant - Technical Accounting

Our partner is looking for a Senior Accountant - Technical Accounting based in Netherlands. /b /p pThis role offers the opportunity to contribute to IFRS accounting and reporting within a global, fast-moving organization operating across international markets. /p pYou will take ownership of technical accounting research, contract assessments, accounting memos, and key reporting activities. /p pThe position combines technical accounting expertise with hands‑on involvement in month-end close, consolidation, and external audits. /p pYou will work closely with Finance leadership, Corporate Accounting, Legal, Tax, FPA, and business teams to assess complex transactions. /p pYour work will help ensure accounting conclusions are well-supported, consistently applied, and aligned with applicable IFRS requirements. /p pThe role provides exposure to a broad range of accounting topics, including revenue, leases, impairment, provisions, consolidation, and related parties. /p pIt is well suited to an experienced accountant who brings strong judgment, attention to detail, and confidence working across a multinational environment. /p h3Accountabilities /h3 ul liReview contracts and business arrangements to determine their accounting implications, with particular focus on revenue recognition under IFRS 15 and lease accounting under IFRS 16. /li liResearch IFRS guidance and prepare technical accounting memos and position papers covering revenue, leases, impairment, provisions, consolidation, related parties, and other relevant accounting topics. /li liSupport month‑end close activities through trial balance reviews, account analysis, and identification of unusual, complex, or judgmental items. /li liPrepare and review consolidation entries, including intercompany eliminations, reclassifications, accruals, and other group reporting adjustments. /li liCoordinate with external auditors during year‑end processes, including local statutory audits and group audit requirements. /li liPrepare audit support materials, gather evidence, participate in walkthroughs, and help resolve auditor questions efficiently. /li liWork cross‑functionally with Finance, Legal, Tax, FPA, and business teams to understand transactions and evaluate their accounting impact. /li liSupport technical accounting and broader finance projects as required. /li liMaintain and update accounting policies in line with new and evolving accounting standards. /li liDevelop training and guidance materials to help finance and non‑finance stakeholders understand relevant accounting requirements. /li liContribute to consistent, well‑documented accounting practices across the organization. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liMinimum of 5 years of relevant professional accounting experience. /li liStrong knowledge of IFRS and demonstrated ability to research, interpret, and apply accounting standards. /li liPractical experience assessing contracts and business arrangements for accounting implications, particularly revenue recognition and lease accounting. /li liStrong technical writing skills, including experience preparing accounting memos, position papers, or audit support documentation. /li liHands‑on experience with month‑end close processes, trial balance reviews, account analysis, and consolidation entries. /li liStrong attention to detail combined with sound professional judgment and the ability to assess complex accounting matters. /li liAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver accurate work within deadlines. /li liClear and effective communication skills, with confidence collaborating across Finance and non‑Finance functions. /li liExperience working with external auditors is highly valuable; public accounting or audit experience is preferred but not required. /li liCPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification is preferred but not required. /li liExperience within a multinational group reporting environment is a plus. /li liAbility to operate effectively in an international and cross‑functional environment. /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liOpportunity to work on IFRS accounting and reporting activities within a global organization. /li liExposure to a broad range of technical accounting topics and complex international transactions. /li liClose collaboration with Finance leadership, Corporate Accounting, external auditors, and cross‑functional business teams. /li liOpportunity to contribute to accounting policy development and finance‑wide training initiatives. /li liInternational and multicultural working environment. /li liInclusive workplace committed to fair employment and equal opportunity. /li liOpportunity to develop deeper expertise in technical accounting, group reporting, and IFRS application. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
