About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong PowerBuilder development expertise to join our team in Utrecht, Netherlands . The ideal candidate will have solid experience developing enterprise applications on the Windows platform , strong SQL and relational database knowledge , and hands-on exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices .
This role requires someone who can work independently, understand complex business logic, and collaborate effectively within Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using PowerBuilder on the Windows platform .
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions with relational databases such as MySQL .
- Manage source code using version control systems (Git or SVN) .
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation using Jenkins .
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment .
- Continuously improve development processes and contribute to best practices.
Required Skills
- 6–8 years of software development experience .
- Strong PowerBuilder development experience .
- Experience building applications on the Windows platform .
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (MySQL preferred) .
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN .
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins .
- Ability to work independently and understand complex business logic .

- Experience working in an Agile development environment .
- Strong communication and collaboration skills .
- Flexible mindset and willingness to learn new technologies based on project needs .
