Senior Analyst Global Trade Compliance
Illumina
Senior Analyst supporting Illumina's trade compliance operations across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. The role involves ensuring adherence to international trade regulations, customs requirements, and sanctions frameworks while partnering with cross-functional teams to enable compliant cross-border operations.
Responsibilities
- Execute regional trade compliance programmes and monitor regulatory developments across EMEA jurisdictions
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs laws, sanctions requirements, and export controls
- Partner with internal teams and external customs brokers to facilitate compliant cross-border transactions
- Investigate and resolve customs and trade-related issues, including shipment delays and documentation discrepancies
- Prepare compliance reports, drive process improvements, and support training programmes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Business, Law, Finance, or related field
- Experience in trade compliance, customs, import/export operations, or global trade management
- Strong knowledge of EMEA customs regulations, export controls, and sanctions frameworks
- Practical experience with tariff classification, customs valuation, and customs broker management
- Advanced Excel proficiency and ERP system experience; SAP GTS highly desirable
- Experience in multinational, matrixed organizations
- Fluent English communication skills
