Their technology powers more seamless, safe, and sustainable air travel. /ppThey are currently looking for an experienced Hardware/Software Integration Engineer to join their SBD Team on a contract/freelance basis through to June 2027. /ph3About the Role /h3pAs a Hardware/Software Integration Engineer, you will work as part of the SBD Team, supporting the integration of hardware and software components within complex technical systems. /ppThe role will involve working across the boundary between hardware and software, helping to ensure that embedded software, hardware components, and associated systems work together reliably and effectively. You will be involved in activities such as system integration, software/hardware bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting, testing, and resolving integration issues. /ppYou will work closely with other engineering teams to identify problems at both hardware and software level and support the delivery of robust, production-ready solutions. /ppThis is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys working close to the hardware while also having strong software development and debugging skills. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliIntegrate hardware and software components across embedded and connected systems. /liliDevelop, test, and troubleshoot low-level software using C/C++ and/or C#. /liliSupport hardware bring-up, system integration, and initial software deployment. /liliDiagnose and resolve hardware/software integration issues across different system components. /liliAnalyse system behaviour and identify whether issues originate from hardware, firmware, software, or the interfaces between them. /liliWork closely with software, firmware, hardware, and systems engineers to resolve technical issues. /liliParticipate in integration testing, system validation, and debugging activities. /liliSupport the development and improvement of integration and test processes. /liliInvestigate technical issues and provide clear, practical solutions. /liliDocument integration activities, technical issues, test results, and resolutions where required. /liliContribute to the successful delivery of integrated systems within a complex engineering environment. /li /ulh3What we are looking for /h3h3Experience /h3ulliProven experience in hardware/software integration. /liliStrong experience working with low-level or embedded systems programming. /liliGood programming experience in C and/or C++, with C# experience also relevant. /liliExperience troubleshooting and debugging issues across hardware and software boundaries. /liliUnderstanding of how software interacts with physical hardware and embedded systems. /liliAbility to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams. /liliStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. /liliComfortable working in a hands-on engineering and integration environment. /li /ulh3Desired skills but not essential /h3ulliKnowledge or experience of vision systems, cameras, image processing, or related technologies. /liliPrevious experience within the airline, aviation, airport, or wider air transport industry. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
