In this role, you’ll combine bsoftware engineering, program analysis and AI /b to solve real-world challenges in large and often highly complex codebases. /p pYou’ll work closely with experienced engineers and researchers, using real industrial systems as your playground. Your work can range from analysing and understanding legacy software to developing new tools and AI-assisted solutions that help engineers modernise, refactor and evolve their systems. /p pIt’s a role for someone who enjoys going beyond simply writing code and is curious about bhow complex software works, how it can be improved, and how AI can help engineers work smarter. /b /p h3Main responsibilities /h3 pAs a Software Engineer, you will: /p ul liDevelop and test methods and tools for bprogram analysis and software comprehension /b. /li liAnalyse large and complex codebases to understand their structure, dependencies and behaviour. /li liDevelop models and tools that support bsoftware migration, refactoring and modernisation /b. /li liExplore and apply bAI-assisted techniques /b to software engineering, including generative AI, retrieval and knowledge-based approaches. /li liBuild prototypes and turn successful concepts into useful internal tools. /li liWork with existing industrial software written in languages such as bC++, C#, Java and Python /b. /li liCollaborate with software engineers, researchers and industry partners to develop practical solutions. /li liPresent your findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. /li liContribute to technical reports, publications, workshops and other research outputs. /li /ul pYou’ll work across bWindows and Linux environments /b and encounter real-world development practices such as CI/CD, testing, architecture and system engineering. /p h3Requirements /h3 pWe are looking for a technically strong and curious Software Engineer who enjoys tackling complex problems. /p h3You bring: /h3 ul liAn MSc or PhD in bComputer Science, Software Engineering, Programming Languages /b or a related technical field. /li liStrong hands-on programming skills and experience working with existing codebases. /li liProfessional experience with at least one of bC++, C#, Java or Python /b. /li liExperience or a strong interest in bprogram analysis, compilers, reverse engineering, software modernisation or AI-assisted software engineering /b. /li liThe ability to translate complex technical problems into practical solutions. /li liStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both engineers and researchers. /li liA proactive mindset and the ability to take ownership while working collaboratively. /li /ul h3Nice to have: /h3 ul liExperience with bLLVM/Clang, Roslyn, ANTLR, tree-sitter /b or similar tooling. /li liExperience with static analysis, parsing, code-query frameworks or software modelling. /li liExperience developing research prototypes and turning them into maintainable software. /li liKnowledge of modern software engineering practices such as bCI/CD, automated testing and software architecture /b. /li liExperience with bGenerative AI, RAG, knowledge graphs or AI-assisted coding/software analysis /b /li /ul h3Why this role? /h3 pThis is an opportunity to work where software engineering, AI and applied research come together. /p pRather than developing technology in isolation, you’ll work on real industrial software and real engineering challenges, with solutions that can directly influence how complex high-tech systems are developed and maintained. /p pYou’ll have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in areas such as AI, program analysis and software modernisation, while working alongside specialists from both research and industry. /p pIf you enjoy understanding how complex software works, solving difficult technical problems and exploring how AI can transform software engineering, this could be a great next step for you. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
