Email & Community Marketeer

32–40 hours per week, location : Amsterdam

Build the Goldbergh world and turn inspiration into engagement, loyalty and growth.

Goldbergh is looking for an Email & Community Marketeer who combines strong storytelling with a commercial mindset.

In this new role, you will shape how Goldbergh communicates directly with its global community through email, CRM and Substack. You will connect the commercial priorities of e-commerce with the brand world created across marketing and social, turning both into relevant content that inspires, engages and converts.

You are a writer and storyteller first, but you also understand customer journeys, e-commerce and the power of data.

Your role

Your role has two clear objectives: driving e-commerce revenue and building the Goldbergh community.

Drive e-commerce revenue through email

You own the Goldbergh email calendar and use email and CRM to drive conversion, repeat purchase and customer value.

Working closely with our Online Merchandiser, you understand which products, categories and commercial opportunities need attention and translate these insights into strong customer communication.

You will:

• Write and build newsletters, product campaigns and automated email journeys.
• Develop and optimize flows such as welcome, post-purchase, cross-sell, upsell and win-back.
• Segment audiences based on behaviour, purchase history and lifecycle stage.
• Translate merchandising priorities into relevant and brand-right campaigns.
• Test and optimize content, subject lines, timing and product selection based on performance.
• Use data and results to continuously improve engagement, conversion and revenue.

Build the Goldbergh world & community

Not every communication needs to start with a product.

Together with our Social Creative and wider Marketing team, you translate the world that lives across Goldbergh's social channels into deeper editorial stories for email and Substack.

You build content around destinations, campaigns, culture, our ambassadors and the Goldbergh lifestyle, giving our audience a reason to engage with the brand beyond shopping.

You will:

• Help develop Goldbergh World and grow Substack as a new editorial and community channel.
• Create original stories that connect to the wider marketing and social calendar.
• Develop storytelling around our ambassadors, bringing their personalities, experiences and connection to Goldbergh to life.
• Write compelling short- and long-form English copy for email, Substack, blog, articles and content that can be used for PR.
• Curate the right imagery from existing brand, social and campaign assets.
• Connect editorial storytelling naturally with relevant products and commercial moments.

You become the link between e-commerce and brand storytelling: understanding what we want to sell, what is happening in the Goldbergh world and how to turn both into communication our customers actually want to receive.

Requirements

First and foremost, you can write.

You know how to turn an idea into a story, a product into desire and a subject line into an open. You have a strong visual eye, understand the Goldbergh aesthetic and are equally interested in creativity and commercial performance.

You bring:

• A bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, Creative Business, Digital Media or a related field.
• Around 2–4 years of experience in email marketing, content, CRM, e-commerce or a comparable role.
• Excellent English writing skills; native or near-native English is highly valued.
• Strong copywriting and storytelling skills. We would love to see writing samples or a portfolio.
• Hands-on experience with Klaviyo or a comparable email/CRM platform.
• Experience building email campaigns and automated customer journeys.
• A strong visual eye and confidence selecting imagery and creating compelling email layouts.
• An understanding of e-commerce, conversion, cross-sell, upsell and retention.
• A curious, analytical mindset and the confidence to work independently across different teams.

Affinity with luxury fashion, skiing, travel and the world surrounding Goldbergh is a plus.

What this role is.. and isn't

This is a hands-on content, email and community role with commercial responsibility.

You will write, build campaigns and flows, develop editorial concepts, select imagery and analyse performance.

You won't be expected to own complex CRM architecture, APIs, data infrastructure, paid media or the technical development of our loyalty platform. Nor are you replacing our designers, social team or e-commerce team.

Instead, you connect these worlds and turn their input into meaningful customer communication.
