As an Operations Manager, you will have end-to-end responsibility for the site, combining operational leadership with responsibility for financial performance, people and continuous improvement. /ppThis is an opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager who enjoys being close to the operation, taking ownership and having a direct impact on both the people and performance of the site. /ph3Your role as Operations Manager /h3ulliLeading the daily operational execution, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient operations /liliTaking full responsibility for the site’s operational and financial performance, including budgets, costs and productivity /liliDriving performance through KPIs, dashboards and data insights, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions /liliChampioning LEAN, continuous improvement and process standardisation to continuously improve quality, productivity and efficiency /liliLeading, coaching and developing the team, including performance management, training and succession planning /liliPlanning and allocating staff, workload and resources in close collaboration with support functions and the customer /liliBuilding and maintaining a strong relationship with the customer and acting as a key point of contact for the operation /liliCreating a safe, inclusive and engaging working environment, maintaining up-to-date procedures, documentation and compliance standards /liliWorking closely with the wider GXO organisation and ensuring the site delivers against both operational and financial expectations /li /ulh3What we’re looking for /h3ulli5+ years’ experience in a warehouse, logistics, supply chain or comparable operational environment /liliProven experience leading and developing teams, preferably within an operational environment /liliExperience with operational and financial responsibility, including budgets, cost control and performance management /liliStrong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus /liliA hands‑on, resilient and results‑driven approach, with the ability to perform under pressure without compromising standards /liliStrong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to turn data into action /liliA continuous improvement mindset and a genuine motivation to grow — personally and professionally /liliThe ability to combine day‑to‑day operational leadership with broader responsibility for the performance and development of the site /li /ulh3What GXO offers you /h3ulliA key leadership role with full responsibility for your own GXO site in Lelystad /liliA salary of up to €80,000 gross per year, depending on experience, excluding bonus and other secondary benefits /liliClear, visible career paths within a global organisation that actively invests in leadership development and internal progression /liliA people‑first culture built on safety, teamwork and continuous improvement, where your input truly matters /liliThe opportunity to lead a stable operation while continuing to improve and further develop the site /li /ulh3Your work environment /h3pWorking at GXO Logistics means working in a dynamic and international organization.
