pAt UL Solutions, we're helping organizations navigate one of the most significant sustainability and compliance transformations in Europe. /ppUL Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Owner, EU Battery Regulation Digital Product Passport (DPP) to lead the development, implementation, and growth of our Battery Regulation conformity assessment and Digital Product Passport verification services in Europe. /ppThis role offers a unique opportunity to influence how battery manufacturers demonstrate sustainability, circularity, carbon footprint performance, recycled content, responsible sourcing, and regulatory compliance across global supply chains. /ppProgram Leadership /pulliServe as the global program owner for UL's EU Battery Regulation services. /liliDefine and maintain the strategic roadmap for Battery Regulation services. /liliAct as the primary internal subject matter leader for Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 implementation. /liliEstablish governance, KPIs, and operational oversight for the program. /li /ulpScheme Development Ownership /pulliDevelop and maintain Battery Regulation certification schemes, procedures, work instructions, assessment forms, and supporting documentation. /liliEnsure program requirements remain aligned with evolving EU legislation, delegated acts, implementing acts, harmonized standards, and accreditation expectations. /liliOwn the lifecycle management of program documentation and technical requirements. /li /ulpNotified Body Accreditation Readiness /pulliLead activities supporting accreditation and Notified Body designation efforts. /liliCoordinate with accreditation bodies, notifying authorities, quality teams, and technical experts. /liliDevelop competency frameworks, qualification criteria, and technical training programs. /liliSupport internal audits, management reviews, witness assessments, and accreditation assessments. /li /ulpDigital Product Passport (DPP) Verification Services /pulliLead development of UL's Battery Digital Product Passport verification offerings. /liliDefine assessment methodologies related to:ulliDPP data completeness /liliData integrity and consistency /liliIdentifier and data-carrier verification /liliAccess-right validation /liliInteroperability requirements /li /ul /liliMonitor emerging regulatory developments impacting DPP verification services. /li /ulpOperations Service Delivery /pulliSupport launch and operational execution of Battery Regulation assessment services. /liliEnsure consistent application of certification and verification processes. /liliWork with certification, engineering, laboratory, and audit resources to support project execution. /liliResolve technical and operational issues impacting service delivery. /li /ulpRegulatory Industry Engagement /pulliMonitor developments within the EU Battery Regulation ecosystem. /liliEngage with industry associations, regulators, accreditation bodies, standards organizations, and other stakeholders. /liliRepresent UL Solutions in industry forums and working groups as appropriate. /li /ulpCommercial Development /pulliSupport business development teams with customer engagement activities. /liliDevelop service descriptions, technical positioning, training content, and customer guidance. /liliIdentify market opportunities for new Battery Regulation and DPP verification services. /liliSupport revenue growth objectives and strategic market expansion. /liliBachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Management, or a related discipline. /liliMinimum 5 years of experience in certification, conformity assessment, product compliance, quality systems, testing, inspection, or regulatory affairs. /liliExperience with Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 (Battery Regulation). /liliExperience supporting accreditation or Notified Body activities. /liliFamiliarity with ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17025, and accreditation processes. /liliYou'll possess knowledge of Recyclability Content / Carbon Footprint (Battery Regulation) and Due Diligence (DPP) /liliStrong knowledge of European regulatory frameworks and conformity assessment principles. /liliExperience developing or managing certification schemes, programs, or assessment services. /liliExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills. /liliAbility to work effectively in a global and cross-functional environment. /li /ulpTotal Rewards: We understand that rewards are an important consideration as you plan the next step in your career. The salary range for this position is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and other factors. This position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 20% of base salary.
