ppAltum Consulting are recruiting for a high calibre Financial Controller to join a fast-growing media organisation headquartered in the heart of Amsterdam. Operating within a dynamic, international and matrixed structure, they deliver innovative solutions to clients across multiple markets. /ph3The Role /h3pWe are looking for a Qualified Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys combining strong technical accounting expertise with proactive business partnering. /ppThis is a pivotal role within the finance function, responsible for driving financial insight, control, and efficiency across the Netherlands Group and Agency cost base. You will be the go-to expert for all matters relating to personnel costs, ensuring robust financial control while providing forward-looking analysis to senior stakeholders. /ph3Responsibilities: /h3ulliLead the monthly close process for NL Group and Agency costs, partnering closely with Shared Services, Finance Hubs, and budget holders. /liliEnsure accuracy and completeness of all cost entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and intra/intercompany postings. /liliMaintain and manage detailed accrual schedules for all cost areas. /liliReview cost balance sheet reconciliations prepared by Shared Service teams, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. /liliSupport senior stakeholders with local country consolidation and agency performance reviews. /liliPrepare high-quality audit files and schedules, responding to queries for both internal and statutory audits. /liliMaintain audit‑ready working files in compliance with company policies and internal controls. /liliAct as a trusted finance partner to internal stakeholders, particularly around personnel costs. /liliDeliver insightful analysis and recommendations to drive cost efficiency and financial performance. /liliProvide variance analysis and forward‑looking financial insight to support decision‑making. /liliContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across processes, systems, and controls. /li /ulh3You’ll be/have: /h3ulliQualified Accountant (RA, ACCA, CPA, CA) with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience. /liliStrong audit background, ideally within a Big 4 or reputable audit firm. /liliExperience in a matrixed, international environment preferred. /liliKnowledge of SAP and HFM desirable. /liliMedia industry experience advantageous but not essential. /liliStrong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail. /liliEnergised by working in a fast‑paced and evolving environment. /liliStrong communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. /li /ulh3Why Join? /h3ulliCentral Amsterdam location with excellent transport links. /liliExposure to senior leadership in a high‑profile media business. /liliOpportunity to shape financial insight and drive tangible impact. /liliCollaborative and international culture with career progression opportunities. /li /ulpIf you are a driven finance professional looking to combine technical excellence with commercial impact in a vibrant media environment, we would love to hear from you. /ppFor more information on this new role please contact Jen McMurray on the attached details. /ppCandidates will be considered immediately for interview and start. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
