PA-d2m-76 Project Engineer for marine and offshore construction

We are looking for a Project Engineer for Marine and Offshore Construction to join the dynamic team of an international oil and gas company. The company is renowned for its innovation and commitment to sustainable development, making it a key player in the energy industry.

This position is based in the Netherlands and is offered on a permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing the design and construction of marine and offshore vessels, infrastructure, and equipment.
2. Studying engineering solutions (conceptual in-house and following third parties during basic and detail engineering).
3. Creating equipment technical tenders and performing technical follow-up of equipment suppliers.
4. Managing subcontractors on site (onshore/offshore) during execution periods.
5. Performing yard surveys and construction site evaluations.
6. Conducting vessel and platform surveys.
7. Reporting weekly and monthly activities.
8. Providing support to the project manager for:
1. Preparing project documentation, budget, planning, execution plan, specifications.
2. Creating large-scale tenders.
3. Meeting with subcontractors and third parties.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Naval, or Structural Engineering.
2. 3 to 10 years of experience including:
1. Project engineering in the marine and/or offshore industry.
2. Marine/offshore hands-on project execution experience is a plus.
3. Good experience of yards and construction sites.
4. Vessel special surveys and drydocking experience is a plus.

Skills:

1. Willingness to be part of a fast-paced developing company.
2. Frequent local travel and offshore visits (short duration).
3. Ability to stay onshore/offshore during execution, up to 3 weeks (3 to 4 times per year).
4. Team player.
5. Passion for technical and challenging projects.
6. Strong computer skills with the ability to create detailed and meticulous documentation.
7. Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
8. Understanding of marine engineering with the ability to perform simple calculations.
9. Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
