Trading Strategy Software Engineer

Based in Amsterdam, IMC's Trading Strategy Software Engineers deliver a wide variety of applications, systems and tools, including trading algorithm implementations, options pricing, volatility calculations, simulation frameworks, and data analysis visualization tools for traders. /ph3Your Core Responsibilities /h3ulliYou will work together with traders, researchers, quants, and fellow engineers. You will take ownership of the end-to-end product development process for deliver high-impact projects -from requirements gathering to production deployment. Your goal is to deliver high-performance, reliable software using frequent iterations to get quick feedback and shorten our time-to-market. Key responsibilities include: /liliClose collaboration with traders to gain a deep understanding of trading strategies and implement them optimally /liliBuilding cutting edge solutions by developing, testing, deploying, tuning, and maintaining a variety of applications, algorithms, new research infrastructures, and automation for trading teams /liliContinuously improving functional and operational sides of strategy systems to enhance user experience and overall system performance /li /ulh3Your Skills and Experience /h3ulliAt least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer with excellent programming abilities /liliSolid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, complexity analysis, data structures, memory models, and concurrency models /liliStrong quantitative and analytical skills and a keen interest in applying them to the trading field /liliAbility to work independently, analyze business requirements, communicate with stakeholders, take full ownership of the solutions you build and deliver /liliHighly adaptable and able to thrive in uncertain, rapidly evolving environments /liliMaster's or PhD degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or a related field /liliExperience with JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin) or Python is a huge plus /liliAdvanced math and quantitative skills are a plus /liliExperience with and interest in building information-rich user-facing applications, GUIs, UXs is a plus /liliExperience with large-scale data and research pipelines compute clusters is a plus /li /ulpIn our current tech stack we work with Java 21+ and Python 3 as the main programming languages to implement our Strategy software.
