DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station offers great views, exceptional service and vibrant food & beverage outlets and is currently looking for a new  Duty Management Trainee  to join the Front of House team!

Our hotel offers an award-winning rooftop bar & terrace, a Lobby Bar, a restaurant, our very own LOT61 Coffee Store, Amsterdam’s most extensive breakfast buffet, fifteen versatile meeting rooms, and 557 guest rooms.

Exciting news! Our hotel is currently undergoing extensive renovations. The pop-up restaurant Eastwood Beer & Grill, the Lobby Bar with our in-house library, and the Front Office are currently being renovated. These renovations are part of a larger project, with all Food & Beverage outlets being repositioned and rebranded in 2024. LuminAir, our Rooftop Bar, has already undergone an impressive rebranding and reopened in June 2023. Stay tuned for further developments, including the redesign of our entire ground floor!

Safety & Security, Smooth Operations, Shiny and Service, are the 4 pillars you will work with every day to ensure the optimal guest experience.

In short, as  Duty Management Trainee , you will be at the heart of the daily operations and ensure that every guest leaves the hotel satisfied and happy to return. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for maintaining our service standards and making our guests' lives easier. To do this, you will work closely with all departments in the hotel to come up with creative ways to exceed our guests' expectations. In addition, it is your responsibility to ensure the safety of all guests and colleagues. You will ensure a safe emergency exit route and respond to fire alarms, unusual situations and accidents. In short, you are the first responder within the hotel.

Who are we looking for?

Are you the type of person who notices every detail, makes every guest feel at home and to whom no VIP guest or incident escapes? Then you can put your qualities to optimum use with us!

To fill this position successfully, it is important that you have the following skills:

• You are persuasive with good communication skills both verbally and in writing
• You enjoy thinking with the team for efficient handling of tasks. You enjoy working interdepartmentally and collaborating effectively with other team leaders.
• You are an ambassador of the Hilton Values (Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership & Now).
• Good command of both Dutch and English languages. Any other languages would be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• A positive, proactive attitude where 'leading by example' is a key word
• Previous experience with our PMS system, OnQ is a plus
• You are available for a minimum of 6 months
