We operate at the intersection of cleantech and fintech, and our mission is simple: to make EV charging effortless for everyone. /p h3bAbout the role /b /h3 pWe’re looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finance team in Amsterdam. /p pThis is a broad finance role for someone who enjoys getting into the numbers, but also wants to improve how finance works. You’ll combine financial control and reporting with planning, analysis and business partnering, while helping us build smarter and more scalable processes. /p pYou’ll work closely with colleagues across Finance, Commercial and Operations, translating financial data into meaningful insights and helping the business make better decisions. /p pWe’re also investing in automation, data and AI across our organisation. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to actively improve financial workflows using modern tools rather than simply maintaining existing processes. /p h3bWhat you’ll be doing /b /h3 pbFinancial control reporting /b /p ul liHelp ensure high-quality and reliable financial reporting in line with Dutch GAAP and IFRS. /li liDevelop and maintain effective internal controls and support a strong financial control environment. /li liSupport external audits by keeping documentation audit-ready and proactively addressing potential control gaps. /li liMaintain a strong focus on financial accuracy, governance and continuous improvement. /li /ul pbBusiness partnering analysis /b /p ul liPartner with our Commercial and Operations teams to analyse topics such as pricing, unit economics and business performance. /li liTranslate financial and operational data into clear insights that support commercial and strategic decision-making. /li liDevelop management reporting and dashboards that help leadership understand performance, trends and areas requiring attention. /li /ul pbFinancial planning analysis /b /p ul liContribute to and help drive our annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. /li liBuild and maintain financial models to support long-term planning and Road’s growth ambitions. /li liAnalyse actual performance against forecasts and help explain the key drivers behind the numbers. /li /ul pbData, automation AI /b /p ul liIdentify manual or inefficient finance processes and look for opportunities to automate and improve them. /li liWork with tools and technologies such as SQL, Looker/LookML, APIs and SuiteQL to improve the quality and accessibility of financial data. /li liExplore practical applications of AI within financial analysis and workflows. /li liApply appropriate financial judgement and controls when using automation or AI, ensuring outputs remain reliable and accurate. /li /ul h3bWhat we’re looking for /b /h3 ul liA Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or another relevant quantitative field. /li liAround 5+ years of relevant experience across areas such as FPA, financial control, external audit or financial advisory. /li liA good understanding of internal controls, risk assessment and financial governance. /li liStrong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills, including financial modelling and more complex formulas. /li liExperience working with an ERP environment such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or a comparable platform. /li liProfessional-level English, both written and spoken. /li liA curious and analytical mindset, with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working and suggest better ones. /li liSomeone who enjoys taking ownership and working in a fast-moving, international environment. /li /ul h3bNice to have /b /h3 pYou don’t need to tick every box, but some of the following would be a plus: /p ul liBig Four or similar audit/advisory experience, and a solid understanding of Dutch GAAP and IFRS. /li liExperience with data and reporting tools such as SQL, Looker, Power BI or Tableau. /li liHands-on experience using automation and AI tools to improve financial processes and analysis. /li liA professional qualification such as CPA, CIA, ACCA or CFA, or an MBA. /li /ul h3bWhat do we offer in addition to your salary /b /h3 pJoin our mission-driven organisation and work in a dynamic, international and ambitious environment.
