Lead Electrical Engineer | EPLAN | Machine Building

You bring customer needs, engineering and real-world application together. You set the technical direction and make sure the design works, both on paper and in practice.

Welcome to Akkodis

As a Lead Electrical Engineer at Akkodis, you work on the electrical engineering of complex machines and production lines. Your first project will focus on improvements and modifications to existing machines that are used in production every day.

A technical change request rarely arrives as a ready-made work package. You clarify what is needed, assess the impact and determine the best approach together with the specialists involved. From there, you make sure engineers and drafters have a clear work package to get started.

You stay involved from the initial customer request through to the final solution. You support testing on-site and see first-hand how the engineering performs in practice. How much you engineer yourself and how much you coordinate varies from project to project. You work from our Akkodis locations as well as at customer sites, keeping you close to both your fellow engineers and the machines.

What will your day look like as a Lead Electrical Engineer?

• Translate customer requests into clear work packages
• Coordinate multiple projects at the same time
• Define the approach, planning and engineering hours
• Distribute work among engineers and drafters
• Guide technical design decisions
• Support engineers with complex technical challenges
• Monitor progress and technical quality
• Improve and standardise existing designs
• Support testing at customer sites

A good match

Maybe you are already a Lead Electrical Engineer. Or perhaps you are the experienced Senior Electrical Engineer colleagues turn to with more complex technical challenges, who naturally steps in when a design gets stuck and who increasingly takes the lead in conversations with customers.

You don't necessarily want to move further away from engineering. You mainly want more influence on what happens with the engineering. At Akkodis, you get the opportunity to take that next step.

What will make you successful as a Lead Electrical Engineer at Akkodis?

• Extensive experience in electrical engineering for machines or production lines
• Strong working knowledge of EPLAN
• Experienced in technical design reviews
• Confident in estimating engineering hours
• Comfortable guiding engineers and drafters
• Strong in coordination and customer communication
• Experience with EPLAN Pro Panel is a plus

You are our priority

As a Lead Electrical Engineer at Akkodis, you don't have to choose between technical depth and leadership. You work on a variety of engineering projects, each bringing different machines, technical challenges and customers.

On one project, you may dive deeper into the engineering yourself. On another, your added value may lie in guiding engineers or setting the technical direction. This allows you to keep developing as both a Lead and an Engineer.
