Data plays an increasingly pivotal role in driving strategy and operational excellence. As a Business Data Analyst, you will serve as the crucial link connecting business strategy, data management, and IT. Located within our central organization responsible for data governance, management, and Business Intelligence (BI), you will analyze business processes, identify value-creation opportunities, and translate complex business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions. By combining your analytical expertise with a deep understanding of data management, you will empower management and key stakeholders with actionable insights to drive strategic, tactical, and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities & Key Performance Areas

1. Business & Process Analysis

• Process Optimization: Analyze end-to-end business processes to uncover inefficiencies and identify opportunities where data can extract additional business value.
• Requirements & Improvement: Translate operational challenges into clear business requirements, concrete improvement initiatives, and data-driven solutions.
• Strategic Advisory: Advise management on leveraging data insights, systems, KPIs, and management information for optimized process and performance management.

1. Project & Stakeholder Management

• Business Case & Risk Analysis: Draft comprehensive business cases, stakeholder analyses, and risk assessments to evaluate and support project viability.
• Initiative Leadership: Initiate and lead projects focused on data management, business intelligence, reporting, and broader digitalization efforts.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary bridge coordinating alignment between business units, IT organizations, and data specialists.

1. Data Governance, Reporting & Visualization

• Architecture Alignment: Assist in harmonizing data structures, data flows, and overall data infrastructure across the organization.
• Dashboarding & Insights: Design, develop, and deliver clear, impact-driven reports, dashboards, and visual data solutions tailored to stakeholder needs.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and safeguard the quality, usability, and reliability of implemented data solutions.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• Education: Completed University-level degree (Master's or Bachelor's preferred) in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Science, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Industry Experience: Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or production environment is considered a strong asset.
• Certifications: Relevant professional certifications in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), or Project Management (e.g., Agile/Scrum, PRINCE2, PMP) are preferred.

Technical & Functional Expertise

• Proven expertise in data management, data governance, business intelligence tooling, and data visualization.
• Solid track record in business process analysis, mapping, and optimization.
• Practical experience drafting business cases, project plans, risk frameworks, and functional requirements.
