They will contribute to ensuring effective compliance management across Modulr’s European entity, working closely with our UK business to share and drive best practices. The role requires strong Spanish language skills. /p pThe role will deal with: /p ul liHorizon scanning /li liRegulatory change management /li liRegulatory reporting /li liPerforming compliance assessments /li /ul pThe position will report into the Head of Risk and Compliance Europe based in Amsterdam. /p pModulr has a strong team with extensive experience in payments, so you will have a chance to learn from some experts with a real passion for developing the business. /p h3What You’ll Do /h3 ul liHelp to manage the day‑to‑day operation of our compliance processes, providing guidance and support to first line teams across the business, and identifying opportunities for improvement. /li liSupport first line teams in the identification, assessment, and treatment of compliance risks. /li liAs part of the second line risk and compliance team, engagement with regulators is also expected. /li liScan for regulatory changes and assess the impact it has on Modulr. Setup regulatory change management projects in line with regulatory horizon monitoring. /li liMonitor improvements and elevate when needed. /li liChampion a strong compliance culture, influencing people across the business to ensure compliance by design. /li liProvide high quality, informative and timely management information. /li liContribute to the wider Second Line Risk and Compliance Team activities as required, such as; ad hoc analysis; input to RFIs/RFPs; and supporting team development. Provide second line oversight and challenge across AML/FT frameworks and controls. /li liSupport engagement with regulators and competent authorities across relevant jurisdictions (e.g., Bank of Spain, SEPBLAC). /li liOwn certain regulatory reporting obligations, ensuring submissions are accurate, complete and delivered on time (e.g. payment statistics, financial reports, AML reports) /li /ul pCoordinate with external advisors on local regulatory matters. /p h3About You /h3 ul liYou will need to have worked in a similar role within a fast‑paced financial institution or consultancy environment and be familiar with the role of a second line compliance analyst or at least 3 years. /li liExperience engaging with regulators and supervisory authorities. /li liStrong understanding of AML/FT frameworks within a second line environment. /li liExperience interpreting regulation and translating requirements into clear, actionable guidance for the business. /li liIt would be great if you have exposure to Payments and FinTech but not essential. /li liGreat engagement and influencing skills, recognising the importance of developing strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve results and having the confidence to challenge more senior members of staff in an appropriate way. /li liExcellent verbal and written communication skills to deliver clear and concise messages. /li liStructured and organised, and able to handle a fast‑paced environment and competing priorities. /li liNative Spanish speaking is a must /li /ul h3What Can Modulr Offer You /h3 pWe are friendly and sociable, challenging but rewarding.
