Health & Safety Manager

ppOur client, a leading European construction and engineering company with multiple projects across Europe, is currently seeking a Health Safety Manager (Dutch speaking) to work with their Life Science team in the Netherlands (Amsterdam). /ppThe Senior Health Safety Manager provides direct operational support to project teams, ensuring health, safety, environment, quality and wellbeing standards are applied consistently on site. /ph3Responsibilities /h3pbSafety Leadership /b /pulliLead and manage the health and safety function on assigned projects /liliProvide advice and direction to project managers, engineers and supervisors on safety requirements /liliEnsure safety is embedded in planning, delivery and close-out stages of the project /li /ulpbCompliance and Risk Management /b /pulliEnsure full compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and company procedures /liliLead the development and review of project safety plans, risk assessments and method statements /liliCarry out regular inspections, audits and incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented /liliMonitor subcontractor compliance and provide support where required /li /ulpbCulture and Engagement /b /pulliPromote a culture of safety through visible leadership and engagement with project teams /liliDeliver safety briefings, toolbox talks and training sessions to staff and subcontractors /liliEncourage open communication on safety issues and ensure lessons learned are shared /li /ulpbReporting and Assurance /b /pulliPrepare and present regular safety reports to project and business unit leadership /liliMaintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, near misses and corrective actions /liliSupport the BU Head of Safety in ensuring consistency of reporting and performance tracking /li /ulpbExperience /b /pulliStrong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice in construction /liliProven experience in managing health and safety on large construction projects /liliStrong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to engage all levels of staff /liliExcellent organisational, reporting and communication skills /liliAbility to identify, assess and manage risks in dynamic project environments bDesirable /b /liliExperience working with Tier 1 contractors or on complex infrastructure, life sciences or data centre projects /liliFamiliarity with digital tools for safety reporting and performance tracking /liliKnowledge of occupational health and behavioural safety initiatives /li /ulpbQualifications /b /pulliNEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety /liliProfessional membership of IOSH or equivalent body /liliDemonstrated experience in managing safety teams or site-based safety professionals br/bDesirable /b /liliPostgraduate qualification in health and safety, risk management or related discipline /liliAdditional training in behavioural safety or leadership coaching /liliExperience in environmental and sustainability aspects of project delivery /li /ulh3Apply now /h3pPosition: Health Safety Manager /ppLast Name /ppFirst Name /ppEmail /ppPhone /ppYour Message /ppUpload your CV /ppAccepted file types: PDF, DOC, DOCX, ODT, ZIP.
