Would you like to work for an organisation that prioritises the climate and energy transition? /ppThis business, a global infrastructure fund manager based in the Netherlands, is looking to enhance its expertise in non-financial reporting and sustainability accounting by hiring a new Sustainability Financial Controller. /ppThis is a strategically important position that sits at the intersection of sustainability, finance and data teams. You will ensure that the organisation has accountable and transparent reporting processes and tools, aligning sustainability performance with the overall financial and investment strategy. /ppstrongYou’ll be responsible for: /strong /pulliSustainability Accounting – you’ll be responsible for collecting, organising and maintaining sustainability-related data that supports the organisation's sustainability strategy and responsible investment approach /liliReporting Compliance – you’ll establish and maintain rigorous governance frameworks to ensure compliance with global regulations and standards, as well as tracking sustainability-related data and metrics /liliStakeholder Engagement – you’ll serve as a liaison between the sustainability team and the internal groups responsible for inputs to sustainability reporting, as well as external organisations /liliLeadership and Team Development – you’ll lead and develop a small team of ambitious specialists /li /ulpstrongTo succeed, you’ll need: /strong /pulliSignificant previous experience as a Financial or Business Controller for a multifaceted corporation or investment firm /liliA master’s degree in finance or accounting /liliProven experience leading small teams in data-driven and financial environments /liliExperience of data enrichment, including the use of PowerBI, and awareness of coding languages such as SQL or Pythin /liliExperience collaborating with IT teams, with the ability to engage with technical terminology, i.e. MoSCoW prioritisation, agile methodologies or sprint planning /liliA genuine interest in learning about a range of sustainability topics such as reporting frameworks, climate policy, decarbonisation, human rights, water waste management and emissions management /liliPrevious experience with sustainability reporting frameworks is not essential, but would be a ‘nice to have’ /li /ulpThis is a rare opportunity to join a global fund manager focused on sustainable infrastructure and the energy transition.
