ppWe're looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Data Steward to join a large-scale data and analytics environment, working on customer-focused data products and helping improve data quality, governance and reliability. /ppThis is a varied role sitting across Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering and Data Governance. You'll work hands-on with data pipelines and transformation, while also helping define data quality standards, metadata, business definitions and governance processes. /ppWe're open to candidates with a broad skill set, as well as strong specialists who have deep expertise in one of these areas and a solid understanding of the others. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliBuild, improve and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines using SQL and Python /liliDevelop and maintain data quality rules, tests and dashboards using dbt and Elementary /liliInvestigate data quality issues, perform root-cause analysis and drive corrective actions /liliDefine and maintain business definitions, harmonization rules and metadata /liliReview data models, data contracts and data mappings against governance standards /liliSupport the development and adoption of data governance frameworks and best practices /liliImprove the reliability, discoverability and usability of data products /liliPresent data quality and governance insights to technical and business stakeholders /liliWork closely with Data Engineers, Data Stewards, Product Owners and Software Engineers /liliSupport ad-hoc data analysis and problem-solving when required /li /ulh3Required Experience /h3ulliExperience writing production-grade code within a cloud environment – GCP preferred /liliStrong SQL skills with experience in data modeling and transformation /liliHands-on experience with BigQuery and/or PySpark/Databricks /liliExperience with dbt, particularly data modeling and data quality testing /liliUnderstanding of data quality frameworks, including defining rules, writing tests and investigating failures /liliGood understanding of data models, databases, data warehouses and data flows /liliExperience working with customer data such as profiles, transactions, purchases or interaction events is highly desirable /liliData visualization using Looker/Data Studio or Power BI /liliKnowledge of data governance frameworks /liliExperience with metadata management and data cataloguing /liliExperience working with data contracts and data mappings /liliExperience operating within large or complex data environments /li /ulh3Soft Skills /h3ulliStrong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams /liliComfortable presenting data, quality and governance findings to stakeholders /liliStrong problem-solving and analytical skills /liliAble to translate business requirements into data products, quality rules and governance standards /liliProactive and comfortable working in an environment where processes and solutions are still being developed /liliWillingness to take ownership and drive initiatives forward /li /ulh3Key Skills /h3ulliData Engineering /liliData Governance /liliDataQuality /liliSQL /liliPython /lilidbt /liliBigQuery /liliGCP /liliPySpark /liliDatabricks /liliData Modeling /liliMetadata /liliData Stewardship /li /ulh3Details: /h3ulli6 month assignment - intention to extend /liliRandstad - hybrid /liliThis is a secondment / interim payroll contract (No ZZP) /lili€90-95k per year / 75-80 per hour /liliIncluding 25 days paid leave a year, Pension and expenses /li /ulh3Interested? /h3pIf you're a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer or Data Steward with strong SQL and data engineering experience and an interest in data quality and governance, we'd be keen to hear from you right away /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
