You will lead client engagements, co-design data engineering solutions through close collaboration with clients, manage stakeholders, and ensure impactful project delivery from strategy through execution. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ullipbData Architecture Pipeline Design: /b Building robust, scalable data pipelines and architectures to enable efficient ingestion, processing, and delivery of large volumes of structured and unstructured data. /p /lilipbCloud Distributed Systems: /b Designing and implementing data solutions leveraging modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Kafka). /p /lilipbDatabase Design Data Modeling: /b Developing logical and physical data models and optimizing database solutions for various data types and workloads, including relational, NoSQL, time-series, and graph databases. /p /lilipbData Integration Loading Patterns: /b Implementing best practices for batch, streaming, and real-time data integration, adapting to structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources. /p /lilipbCI/CD DataOps Practices: /b Enabling continuous integration and deployment of data services and infrastructure, using modern DevOps tooling to ensure reliability, versioning, and automation in data workflows. /p /li /ulh3Within Sia itself you will /h3ullipDevelop and enhance our Data Engineering offerings through internal training sessions, working groups, and internal/external publications. /p /lilipRepresent Sia at professional events, contributing actively to thought leadership initiatives (articles, white papers, webinars). /p /lilipDrive business development by crafting compelling proposals, identifying new collaboration opportunities, and fostering long-term client relationships. /p /lilipManage client engagements, serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to middle and senior-level management. /p /lilipSupervise and mentor junior to medior consultants, guiding their professional growth, reviewing deliverables, and facilitating the development of technical and interpersonal skills. /p /li /ulh3Your profile /h3ullipAnalytical thinker with a structured and proactive approach. /p /lilipExperienced communicator capable of clearly articulating complex technical ideas to varied audiences. /p /lilipEffective stakeholder manager, comfortable guiding teams through project delivery. /p /lilipDemonstrated ability to mentor colleagues and facilitate professional development. /p /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ullipCompleted WO Master's degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, (Energy) Engineering, or a related technical field involving substantial programming. /p /lilipThe specific stack that you will work with will depend on the client but, as an indication, we commonly work with Databricks, Snowflake and Azure. /p /lilipYou have a strong interest in data and AI-related topics, the ability to quickly build expertise in these areas, and you’re excited about helping our clients seize the opportunities they offer. /p /lilip3-6 years of relevant professional experience (or equivalent academic research). /p /lilipStrong analytical mindset with systematic problem-solving abilities. /p /lilipA fast learner who demonstrates strong communication skills, adaptability, and entrepreneurial drive. /p /lilipFluency in Dutch, with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
