Your leadership will empower the team to deliver high-quality, high-impact games that make a real difference. /ph3Role Overview /h3pThe Engineering Lead is responsible for guiding the technical direction of our projects, ensuring engineering excellence, and supporting the growth and well‑being of the engineering team. This role combines hands‑on Unity development with strategic leadership, architectural decision‑making, and people management. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3h3Strategic Leadership /h3ulliDefine and communicate the high‑level engineering vision and technical direction. /liliDrive innovation and RD initiatives, facilitating experiments with new tools and technologies. /liliEnsure technical decisions align with product goals and studio strategy. /li /ulh3Representation Decision‑Making /h3ulliServe as the voice of the engineering team in management and production meetings. /liliLead design and architecture decisions, balancing quality, scalability, and delivery needs. /liliConduct performance reviews (every 6–12 months) and provide regular feedback. /liliRun engineering meetings and maintain open communication within the team. /liliOversee recruitment: reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and onboarding. /liliMentor and guide engineers in their career growth, supporting professional development. /liliFoster team well‑being, engagement, and retention initiatives. /li /ulh3Compliance Process /h3ulliEnsure ISO and GDPR compliance through proper procedures, documentation, and reporting. /liliMaintain technical documentation and help improve development processes. /li /ulh3Production Work (Hands‑on Contribution) /h3ulliContribute directly to Unity development, focusing on low‑level technical implementation and problem‑solving. /li /ulh3Professional Networking /h3ulliRepresent the studio in the wider industry: network with peers, write technical articles, and give presentations to share knowledge and attract talent. /li /ulh3Technical Requirements /h3ullibExpert in C++/C# and Object‑Oriented Programming. /b /lilibHighly skilled at designing and implementing readable, maintainable, and extendable software systems. /b /lilibProficient in implementing and debugging common algorithms /b (searching, sorting, decision‑making) band data structures /b (graphs, trees, hash tables). /lilibFluent in vector mathematics and algebra. /b /lilibBroad experience with the Unity game engine /b, including architecture and optimization. /lilibExperienced in developing and releasing games for PC/Mac, web, and mobile platforms /b with a solid understanding of their different requirements. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliProven experience as Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer, or similar technical leadership role. /liliStrong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills. /liliExperience balancing hands‑on development with strategic decision‑making. /liliFamiliarity with ISO/GDPR requirements and software development compliance practices is a plus. /li /ulpSerious games are games with purposes beyond just entertainment.
