This is a strong opportunity for a Junior Data Engineer looking to build hands on experience in a modern cloud data environment while learning from experienced engineers. The role offers exposure to end to end data engineering, from pipeline development through to analytics enablement, within a growing centralised data function.

The Role

You will support the design, build, and operation of scalable data solutions, working closely with senior data engineers and analysts. Key responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining data pipelines to support reporting and analytics use cases
• Writing and optimising SQL for data transformation and aggregation
• Supporting ETL and ELT processes within a cloud based data platform
• Contributing to data lake and data warehouse solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Working with analysts to translate business requirements into data solutions
• Supporting self service BI and analytics using modern Microsoft tools
• Assisting with data processing tasks using Spark and PySpark
• Applying engineering best practices including version control and structured development workflows

Your Skills & Experience

• Commercial experience in a data related role or strong practical exposure through projects
• Solid understanding of core data engineering concepts such as data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehousing
• Strong SQL skills, including joins and aggregations
• Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation or scripting
• Exposure to the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem, such as Azure Data Factory, ADLS, or Microsoft Fabric
• Familiarity with Databricks and Spark is beneficial
• Experience using Git or similar version control tools
