Head of Finance (scale-up)

Read on! /p h3About the organisation /h3 pOur client is a growing organisation with multiple entities in the Netherlands. As the company develops, its finance function needs to grow along with it: more structure, more automation, stronger controls and better financial insights. You will join a small finance team and play a central role in taking the finance function to the next level. /p h3The job profile /h3 pAs the Finance Manager, you are responsible for the complete finance function across all entities. You ensure accurate and reliable financial administration, timely monthly reporting, strong financial controls and an efficient year-end and audit process. As the senior finance professional, you lead and support the finance team, including a Junior Finance Controller, and act as the financial sparring partner of the Managing Director, to whom you report directly. Your responsibilities include: /p ul liManaging the financial administration and ensuring all transactions and balance sheet positions are complete, accurate and properly reconciled /li liIndependently running the monthly closing, including the PL, balance sheet, cash flow and management reports /li liAnalysing and explaining key financial developments and variances /li liManaging the year-end closing and coordinating the external audit or accountant review as the main point of contact /li liKeeping documentation, reconciliations and supporting schedules audit-ready /li liImproving finance processes, controls and reporting, and replacing manual work with more scalable, automated solutions /li liSupporting the Managing Director with insights on profitability, cash flow, risks and business decisions /li liSupporting and developing the finance team and acting as the main finance contact within the organisation /li /ul h3What you get /h3 ul liA monthly salary between € 6,500 and € 7,500 gross, excluding holiday pay /li li25 holidays, incentive trips, gym reimbursement, a bicycle plan, healthy snacks, and a daily fresh lunch /li liFull ownership of the finance function, with room to build, improve and automate /li liA natural next step in your career, in which you develop into a well-rounded Head of Finance /li liA growing organisation in which you grow along with the company /li liDirect collaboration with the Managing Director /li /ul h3What you bring /h3 pYou are reliable, structured and calm, and you take pride in accuracy and quality. You are approachable, share your knowledge and are confident enough to explain financial topics and to challenge others when necessary. /p ul liBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field /li li6+ years of experience in bookkeeping, financial administration, accounting or finance operations /li liExperience managing complete financial administrations and month-end and year-end closings /li liExperience with Dutch entities, including fiscal and statutory matters, and knowledge of Dutch accounting practices /li liStrong knowledge of general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations /li liExperience with ERP and accounting systems and strong Excel skills /li liExperience supporting junior colleagues is an advantage /li liFluent in Dutch and proficient in English /li /ul h3Want to know more? /h3 pAre you the Finance Manager we are looking for?
