ph3Senior Android Engineer /h3 pTreatwell Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands /p pbSenior Android Developer /b /p pWe’re looking for a talented, friendly and open Senior Android Developer to help build our customer facing apps. /p pHere in the Treatwell tech team we believe in Agile principles and values, our teams leverage Scrum and XP practices, we love Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and we are embracing eventual consistency in our new services. We like to use the right tech for the job but we don't get seduced by the latest shiny fads. /p pOur current tech stack includes Java, Spring, Hibernate, ES2015, NodeJS, ReactJS (both client and on NodeJS server-side), Docker, Firebase and RabbitMQ, as well as iOS and Android apps. Everything runs in AWS. /p pOur Android stack consists primarily of Kotlin. We enjoy protocol oriented programming and using the latest features of Kotlin such as Jetpack Compose UI, Coroutines and Flow. We believe in a testable environment, with test coverage across the full testing pyramid, including unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end, UITesting and PACT consumer driven contract tests. Our code lives in Gitlab and we use Gitlab for builds, tests and deployments. /p pWe do things well, but we're not complacent. We want to do great work and we want to be known for it. We're looking for people who can help us to continue to grow and improve as a team /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liCollaborating within a cross-functional Agile team to build and ship clean, well-documented, and maintainable Android code. /li liDeveloping features using modern Android technologies like Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose, and other Jetpack libraries. /li liUsing tools like Gradle for build automation and deploying through CI/CD pipelines, while monitoring app performance and usage with platforms such as mParticle and Mixpanel. /li liContributing to the continuous improvement of our Android app architecture and development practices—helping us deliver features efficiently and reliably. /li liCreating and maintaining user-focused native Android applications, and participating in the modernization of our mobile codebase. /li liWorking closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to understand business goals and translate them into scalable technical solutions. /li liDebugging, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to ensure smooth and reliable app performance. /li liStaying current with the latest trends in Android development, and bringing new ideas to the team. /li liFamiliarity with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or Compose Multiplatform (CMP) is a plus. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liYou have hands-on experience developing Android apps using Kotlin and are familiar with modern Android development practices. /li liYou've built user interfaces with Jetpack Compose or XML layouts and care about writing clean, maintainable code that delivers a smooth user experience. /li liYou have an interest in good UX and visual design, and you enjoy contributing to products that are both functional and enjoyable to use. /li liYou've worked in Agile teams, understand the value of collaboration, and are comfortable delivering features in an iterative way. /li liYou're curious and motivated—always looking to learn new tools and techniques, and open to stepping outside your comfort zone when needed. /li liYou're a solid communicator, a team player, and enjoy contributing to a supportive, collaborative environment. /li liYou're starting to engage with the broader Android community or have a personal interest in tech beyond your day-to-day role. /li liYou can communicate fluently in English. /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul li28-days holiday, plus bank holidays /li liMonthly 40EUR Treatwell vouchers so you can treat yourself too /li liBenefits platform offering cycle to work scheme, high street discounts and other perks /li liGrowth funds for you to develop and grow with your team /li liMental health support through our partnership with Plumm /li /ul h3Equal Opportunities /h3 ul liTreatwell is an ‘Open to All' employer and warmly welcomes everybody to the team.
