BNP Paribas brings almost the entire breadth of the global banking group's services to its clients in the Netherlands. We are present in the Dutch market with nine different businesses, ranging from Corporate and Institutional Banking to Asset Management to Arval (vehicle leasing and mobility solutions), Cardif (insurance), Personal Finance and more. The only major part of the business that is not offered in the market is retail banking. The Netherlands' 1500 employees are spread across five offices in five different cities. Collectively, the businesses have realized healthy growth over the past several years, which makes this market the Netherlands one of growth engines within BNP Paribas.

One Bank vision and new five-year growth plan At the heart of the strategy that has helped drive growth at BNP Paribas in the Netherlands is a 'One Bank' vision and mindset. Eight years ago, the leaders of each of the nine different businesses in this market joined together to put together a strategy that would enable greater collaboration across the different businesses. That strategy crystallized in the first of two five-year plans to drive growth across the businesses. The second of those plans has just been launched and runs through 2030.

Shared Service Center for Internal Engagement As a part of the 'One Bank' strategy, BNP Paribas NL established a Shared Service Center (SSC) for Internal Engagement three years ago. Its purpose is to help drive a One Bank mindset among employees and to help them connect and work together across the different businesses.

In your role, you will support the three members of the SSC. You will be joined by two senior communication managers and one senior events expert. The team is based at the offices of Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) in Amsterdam. The office is situated right next to Station Amsterdam Zuid. Together with four other BNP Paribas businesses, we occupy five floors of a brand-new, highly sustainable building called The CubeHouse in the city's business district, the Zuidas.

Your role Your work will involve supporting the team across all communication activities and across all phases of the process from strategy to planning to execution. The team is small, and the culture is open and welcoming . We will encourage you to take initiative and contribute ideas. The team will also rely heavily on you for operational support.

Your role will include tasks like these:

• Written content: helping draft content for various initiatives, news moments, etc.
• Visual content and production: headers, banners, posters, still and animated content for narrowcasting screens in our buildings, visuals for emails and intranet news stories and pages. You will play a major role in this, using Canva as your main design tool.
• Video content and production: interviews, event impressions shooting footage, developing and producing films using PlayPlay software
• Mass mailings, newsletters: you will design and build them and help distribute them across the group
• Events: you will help in concepting, planning and communication and provide on-site support
• Analytics: you will help analyze and report on performance based on mail and intranet metrics and post-activity surveys (in MS Forms)
• You will perform these tasks in the context of 'business as usual' and in the context of the rollout of a five-year plan that was launched a few months ago.

Qualifications

What do we expect from you?

• Currently pursuing a study in Marketing and/or Communications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch would be great but is not essential)
• Creative skills to produce written and visual/video content. Experience with tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop and PlayPlay is a plus.
• Experience working with AI / large language models
• Strong time-management skills
• Proactive, "can-do" mindset
• Well-organized mind with a sharp eye for detail
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn
• Available full time for 6 months and preferably to start 14 September 2026
