Together with colleagues from Sales, Engineering, Service, Finance, and Legal, you align on a winning approach and define how Vanderlande can create maximum value for the customer. /p pLater in the day, you facilitate a customer workshop, confidently presenting concepts and guiding discussions around technical and commercial solutions. Meanwhile, your team of Sales Engineers is working on layouts, calculations, cost models, and technical proposals. You coach your team members, remove obstacles, and help them develop their skills to meet future challenges. /p pAs deadlines approach, you ensure all proposal elements come together into a compelling and high-quality submission. Through your leadership, commercial insight, and ability to connect people, you help Vanderlande continue to win business and deliver innovative solutions to customers worldwide. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 pAs a Bid Manager you will be responsible for managing the complete bid lifecycle and ensuring the delivery of competitive, customer-focused proposals. /p pYour responsibilities include: /p ul liTaking ownership of the full bid process, from opportunity handover through final proposal submission. /li liDefining winning bid strategies and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. /li liLeading customer-facing design and proposal meetings. /li liManaging proposal planning, review cycles, risks, and key milestones. /li liEnsuring proposals meet customer requirements and internal governance standards. /li liClearly articulating Vanderlande's value proposition and competitive advantages. /li liFacilitating bid reviews and decision-making sessions. /li liDriving continuous improvements in bid processes, templates, and content. /li liProviding management with regular updates on progress, opportunities, and risks. /li /ul h3As Group Leader Sales Engineering /h3 pYou will lead a team of Sales Engineers and Sales Layout Engineers who support the commercial organization with technical expertise and solution development. /p pYour responsibilities include: /p ul liLeading, coaching, and developing a team of 5-10 Sales Engineering professionals. /li liSetting team objectives and supporting performance and development discussions. /li liCreating an environment focused on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. /li liSupporting team members in delivering high‑quality technical solutions and proposals. /li liManaging workload, priorities, and resource planning within the team. /li liIdentifying opportunities to improve processes, tools, and ways of working. /li liStrengthening collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Service, and international colleagues. /li liContributing to the strategic development of the Sales Engineering function. /li /ul h3What do we ask from you? /h3 pWe are looking for an experienced professional who combines commercial awareness with strong leadership capabilities. /p pYou bring: /p ul liA Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field. /li li5-10 years of experience in bid management, proposal development, or sales engineering. /li liProven experience in leading teams and developing technical and commercial professionals. /li liStrong project management and organizational skills. /li liExperience managing complex timelines, stakeholders, and multiple priorities. /li liExcellent communication and presentation skills. /li liStrong stakeholder management capabilities and the ability to influence at different organizational levels. /li liAffinity with, or knowledge of, industrial automation, logistics systems, or material handling solutions. /li liProficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. /li liFluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken. /li liWillingness to travel up to 25%. /li /ul h3You are: /h3 ul liA natural leader who motivates and develops people. /li liCustomer‑focused and commercially driven. /li liStructured, organized, and able to perform under pressure. /li liAnalytical, proactive, and solution‑oriented. /li liA strong communicator who easily connects people and teams. /li liComfortable working in an international and fast‑paced environment. /li /ul h3About the team /h3 pYou will join Vanderlande's Distribution Sales department, where commercial excellence and innovation come together.
