Senior Engineer

pWe are currently seeking an experienced bSenior Automation Engineer /b to join a growing Equipment Automation team within a leading biotechnology manufacturing environment in Breda. /ppIn this role, you will be responsible for the automation aspects of new and upgraded manufacturing equipment across Device Assembly, Inspection, Labelling, and Packaging operations. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, cybersecurity, compliance, and operational readiness throughout the equipment lifecycle. /ppWorking closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Manufacturing, and project teams, you will support the design, implementation, qualification, and ongoing optimization of manufacturing equipment. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3h3Project Automation Delivery /h3ulliManage automation deliverables in line with project timelines and business requirements. /liliSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) activities on site. /liliParticipate in equipment testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning, qualification, and start-up activities. /liliEnsure equipment complies with site automation and cybersecurity standards. /liliProvide regular progress updates to project stakeholders and management. /liliSupport operational readiness and hypercare activities during equipment implementation. /liliAuthor and review automation design documentation, including: /liliUser Requirement Specifications (URS) /liliFunctional Design Specifications (FDS) /liliHardware Design Specifications (HDS) /liliSoftware Design Specifications (SDS) /liliSupport installation, testing, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment. /li liEnsure successful integration into manufacturing networks, including domain settings, network security, and firewall requirements. /li liImplement automation standards for both hardware and software systems. /li liSupport connections to PI Data Historian systems. /li /ulh3Operational Support Compliance /h3ulliParticipate in Data Integrity Assessments. /liliConduct Automation Preventive Maintenance assessments. /liliDevelop and test backup and restore procedures for configurable equipment. /liliCreate and maintain Asset Parameter Lists (APLs). /liliDevelop parameter review and audit trail procedures. /liliAdvise on automation spare parts strategies. /liliInstall and maintain required monitoring tools. /liliDeliver automation training to Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations teams. /liliUpdate documentation and procedures to ensure sustainable operational support. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3h3Hard requirements /h3ulliBachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Industrial Information Systems, or a related discipline. /liliMinimum 5 years of experience delivering automation solutions within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing industries. /liliExperience independently delivering projects within cross-functional and global environments. /liliHands-on experience with labelling and packaging equipment. /liliStrong knowledge of Industrial PCs, PLCs, HMI systems, SCADA platforms, Cognex Vision Systems /liliExperience operating within GMP-regulated environments. /liliStrong written and verbal communication skills in English. /liliFlexibility to occasionally work outside standard office hours when required. /liliAlready living in a commutable distance to Breda /li /ulh3Nice to have /h3ulliStrong automation engineering expertise with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality standards. /liliExcellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills. /liliExperience working within matrix organisations and influencing cross-functional teams. /liliStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. /liliAbility to communicate technical information effectively to a variety of audiences. /liliExperience preparing and delivering presentations to stakeholders. /liliCreative, practical, and solution-oriented mindset. /liliSelf-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment. /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
