ph3Job Description /h3 pAs a Consultant MRI Mechanical Engineer, you will bring your mechanical engineering expertise to different RD environments and projects related to MRI systems and medical imaging. Your projects may vary from developing and integrating individual mechanical components and subsystems to supporting larger system-level development programs, solving technical challenges, improving existing designs or contributing to the development of complete MRI systems. You will work across the mechanical development lifecycle, from translating system requirements into practical solutions through concept development, detailed design, prototyping, testing and integration. As a consultant, you are expected to quickly understand new technical environments, work effectively with different teams and take ownership of your topics with a high degree of independence. Over time, you will work with different clients and apply your MRI expertise to a variety of engineering challenges. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupport different clients and RD projects involving MRI systems and medical imaging technology. /li liDesign and develop mechanical components, assemblies and systems for MRI equipment. /li liTranslate system and customer requirements into mechanical requirements and engineering solutions. /li liPerform mechanical concept development, calculations, analysis and detailed design. /li liCreate and review 3D CAD models, drawings and technical specifications. /li liDevelop mechanical solutions suitable for the demanding environment of MRI systems. /li liSupport the development of prototypes, test setups and one-off or custom MRI equipment. /li liPerform mechanical integration, testing and troubleshooting. /li liInvestigate mechanical issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective solutions. /li liWork across interfaces between mechanical, electronics, RF, software and systems engineering. /li liConsider mechanical interfaces and interactions with MRI-specific subsystems and the overall system architecture. /li liParticipate in design reviews and technical decision-making. /li liIdentify mechanical risks and proactively contribute to mitigation strategies. /li liContribute to verification and validation activities. /li liAdapt quickly to different clients, projects, technical environments and ways of working. /li liTake ownership of technical topics and proactively determine the actions, stakeholders and resources required to move them forward. /li liCreate and maintain technical specifications, design documentation and test documentation. /li liSupport system integration, commissioning and technical handover. /li /ul h3Your Profile /h3 ul liBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. /li liProfessional experience working with MRI systems or MRI-related technology — this is a must-have. /li liHands‑on experience with mechanical engineering, development, integration or testing within MRI equipment or systems. /li liStrong experience in mechanical design and product development. /li liGood knowledge of 3D CAD and mechanical engineering principles. /li liExperience with mechanical calculations, tolerancing, materials and manufacturing processes. /li liExperience developing, prototyping and testing mechanical components and assemblies. /li liStrong understanding of mechanical interfaces within complex technical systems. /li liExperience working in multidisciplinary RD environments. /li liAble to quickly understand unfamiliar systems and identify what is required to solve a technical problem. /li liSelf‑propelling and able to work independently: you take ownership, define next steps and drive technical topics forward without requiring detailed instructions. /li liComfortable working across different clients, teams and projects in a consultancy environment. /li liStrong analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills. /li liStructured, pragmatic and solution‑oriented approach. /li liFluent in English; Dutch is a plus. /li /ul h3What Amaris Consulting Offers /h3 ul liThe opportunity to work on advanced MRI and medical imaging technology. /li liInvolvement in challenging RD projects across the product development lifecycle. /li liHands‑on involvement in the design and development of complex MRI systems. /li liCollaboration with highly skilled multidisciplinary engineering teams. /li liExposure to different clients, projects and technical challenges within the MRI domain. /li liAn international consulting environment with opportunities for professional development. /li liAccess to Amaris Consulting's global Engineering and Life Sciences network. /li /ul pAmaris Consulting is proud to be an equal‑opportunity workplace.
