WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will work closely with EMEA Apparel Product and Graphic Designers, Footwear Designers, Design Directors, and cross-functional partners across Product Management, Product Development, and Sourcing. You will also collaborate with Geo Local Creations Design teams across APLA, GC, and NA, as well as Global Apparel Product, Color, and Graphic Design partners to create compelling, consumer-right product experiences for the EMEA marketplace.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Color & Materials Design specialist who is passionate about creating emotionally resonant product experiences for the EMEA consumer. You bring a strong point of view on color, materials, trims, and hardware, and understand how to translate trends into meaningful product narratives that connect with consumers at a local level.

You thrive in a fast-paced, close-to-market environment where speed, agility, and collaboration are essential. You combine creative excellence with strong storytelling skills and have the ability to make informed design decisions while balancing business needs and product realities. You are energized by ambiguity, inspired by consumer and city culture, and motivated by the opportunity to shape product narratives that elevate the Nike brand.

You are comfortable working across multiple functions and possess a strong understanding of apparel construction, materials, and product creation processes. Most importantly, you are obsessed with creating the future through innovative design solutions that serve athletes and consumers across EMEA.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will bring seasonal product direction to life through color and materials design, creating trend-relevant apparel solutions tailored to the EMEA consumer. You will craft compelling product narratives, elevate product expression, and partner across functions to deliver innovative and impactful consumer experiences.

• Drive a high degree of apparel product innovation and design excellence.
• Partner with cross-functional teams throughout the product creation process to deliver against close-to-market timelines and milestones.
• Collaborate with Product Line Management, Product Development, and Design teams to execute product details and achieve desired product outcomes.
• Create consumer- and brand-right narratives through apparel design, color, and materials informed by local trends and marketplace opportunities.
• Lead the review and refinement of samples, troubleshoot product challenges, and communicate design updates to ensure timely execution.
• Utilize your understanding of Nike heritage, iconic product stories, and color strategies to create relevant, differentiated product expressions.
• Monitor emerging trends, consumer behaviors, and cultural movements to influence future product opportunities across EMEA.

You are a creative and consumer-focused designer with a passion for storytelling through color, materials, and product design. You bring a strong understanding of the EMEA consumer, marketplace trends, and sport culture, combining strategic thinking with a future-focused mindset. You thrive in fast-paced environments, embrace ambiguity, and are energized by turning insights into innovative product solutions. With strong communication and presentation skills, you build trust across teams and effectively influence partners throughout the product creation process.

You have a solid foundation in apparel product creation, including knowledge of materials, trims, garment construction, fit, pattern making, draping, and manufacturing processes. You understand the broader apparel industry and can connect consumer insights, marketing perspectives, and design opportunities to create meaningful product experiences. You are passionate about digital innovation and continuously seek new ways to evolve your craft.

• Demonstrated expertise in Color and Materials Design, with the ability to translate insights into compelling product narratives and elevated consumer experiences.
• Strong design capabilities across sketching, ideation, color theory, texture application, visual storytelling, presentation development, and layout.
• Proven ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders throughout the product creation journey.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as 3D design tools such as CLO and V-Stitcher.
• Education, training, or demonstrated expertise in design-related disciplines such as fashion, product, industrial, footwear, accessory, textile, or art and design fields. Relevant experience and a strong portfolio may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
