Backend Developer - Java

ppWe are looking for a bSenior Mid Backend Developer /b with strong hands‑on experience in bJava /b to join an international technology environment in Amsterdam. /ppThe successful candidate will take ownership of the bdesign, development, testing, deployment and production support /b of scalable backend applications and services. You will work across the full software lifecycle, contributing to the delivery of reliable, maintainable and high-performing enterprise-grade solutions. /ppThis role combines strong technical development skills with bend-to-end service ownership /b, including application monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimisation, incident resolution and continuous improvement. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliDesign and develop scalable and maintainable backend applications and services using bJava /b. /liliContribute to software architecture, design patterns and engineering best practices. /liliDevelop and maintain bAPIs and backend services /b. /liliImplement unit, integration and other relevant testing methodologies. /liliTake ownership of applications throughout the complete software lifecycle. /liliMonitor application performance, identify issues and implement improvements. /liliTroubleshoot production incidents and perform broot cause analysis (RCA) /b. /liliSupport deployment and release activities. /liliContribute to coding standards, quality assurance processes and platform enhancements. /liliEnsure backend services remain reliable, scalable and resilient. /liliCollaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. /liliParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives within an agile and collaborative environment. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ullib5–7 years of professional experience /b in backend software development. /liliStrong hands‑on experience with bJava /b. /liliSolid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices. /liliKnowledge of backend architecture and design patterns. /liliExperience developing and integrating bAPIs and services /b. /liliUnderstanding of software testing methodologies. /liliExperience with production support, troubleshooting and performance optimisation. /liliAbility to analyse incidents and perform root cause analysis. /liliExperience working across the full software development lifecycle. /liliStrong problem-solving and analytical skills. /liliGood communication and collaboration skills. /liliBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering or a related field. /li /ulh3What We Offer /h3ulliInternational and technically challenging environment. /liliOpportunity to work on benterprise-grade backend services /b. /liliHybrid working model in bAmsterdam /b, with 2–3 days onsite per week. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
