ph3Location /h3pAmsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite per week) /ph3The Opportunity /h3pWe are supporting a global technology and consulting organisation delivering large-scale digital transformation and data modernisation programmes for enterprise clients. /ppAs part of continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Graph Database Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team working on complex knowledge graph, data platform, and cloud transformation initiatives. /ppThis role offers the opportunity to work with cutting‑edge graph technologies, modern cloud environments, and large-scale enterprise datasets while collaborating with architects, data engineers, and software development teams. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliDesign, develop, and optimise graph database solutions using technologies such as Neo4j, AWS Neptune, or similar platforms /liliBuild scalable backend applications using Java and/or Kotlin /liliDevelop and optimise graph queries using Cypher, SPARQL, and related technologies /liliDesign data models for complex business domains and interconnected datasets /liliDevelop and integrate microservices and RESTful APIs /liliCollaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions /liliImprove database performance, reliability, and scalability /liliSupport large-scale data ingestion and transformation pipelines /liliParticipate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices /li /ulh3Required Experience /h3ulli8+ years of software engineering experience /liliStrong hands‑on experience with Java and/or Kotlin development /liliProven expertise with Graph Database technologies including Neo4j, AWS Neptune, or equivalent platforms /liliStrong understanding of graph query languages such as Cypher and/or SPARQL /liliExperience with data modelling and complex data structures /liliExperience designing and implementing Microservices Architectures /liliStrong REST API development and integration experience /liliExperience working within AWS or other cloud environments /liliAbility to work in a hybrid environment in Amsterdam /liliRDF, OWL, or Semantic Web technologies /liliDocker and Kubernetes /liliGraph algorithms and optimisation techniques /liliExperience within enterprise consulting or customer‑facing delivery environments /li /ulh3What's on Offer /h3ulliOpportunity to work on enterprise‑scale transformation programmes /liliExposure to modern Graph Database and Knowledge Graph technologies /liliCollaborative and international engineering environment /liliCompetitive compensation package /liliHybrid working model based in Amsterdam /li /ulh3Candidate Profile /h3pWe are particularly interested in engineers who combine strong backend development expertise with deep graph database knowledge and who enjoy solving complex data challenges within large-scale enterprise environments. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
