KONI innovates, engineers and manufactures market leading performance and adjustable shock absorbers, providing customers with a comfortable, safe and sustainable driving experience in any vehicle, across any terrain. /p pFor our Railway business we are looking for an bApplication Engineer Railway /b. /p pIn this role you are responsible to define the best technical solution for customer and lead the implementation to Start of Production (SOP). You support sales providing cost effective technical solution in order to win the target order, act as the main technical interface with customer, collect customer needs and requirement and participate with RD to development of new dedicated products, prepare drawings, testing plan and other customer and fabrication related documents and you act as Project Manager in order to assure development milestones, engage the cross functional Team and have a smooth handover of the project to the Operational Team with the FAI completion. Communication with the operational teams is generally cross international sites. /p h3Essential Responsibilities /h3 pbMain responsibilities / tasks: /b /p ul liReview and comment technical specification from customers on feasibility. /li liUpon technical specification define the best technical solution for the customer. /li liPerform and/or initiate strength calculation (FEM) /li liPrepare and release damper drawings, 3D models, production drawing, Fabrication Instruction (FI), Testing plan and other related instruction. /li liWork with customer to get drawing and test plan approval. /li liDrive the technical project progress from project start to BOM release base on project schedule. /li liInform and coordinate designated production plant in preparation for new product SOP. /li liLead technical part of dampers homologation process related to New Train projects. /li liVerify that all the project deliverable (PPAP, Testing, drawing, FI) are in place before SOP. /li liIncrease customer intimacy and understand and discuss the needs for new products (With RD). /li liIf needed define the product development plan with team. /li liTake care of project management (milestones, team meetings, smooth handover to production). /li liInvolve in the production process review and give technical support in prototype production. /li liTo supply KONI differentiating value together with sales team. /li /ul h3Position Requirements /h3 pbYour profile /b /p pYou have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience as an Application Engineer or other relevant technical position. /p pQualifications/ Requirements/ Characteristics: /p ul liKnowledge of principles and design of Shock Absorbers (dampers) or any other relevant knowledge related to hydraulics is preferred /li li3D Solidworks /li liKnowledge and/or experience in FEM calculations /li liGood communication skills and willing to take challenges /li liExperience in managing small scale projects is preferred /li liPassionate Pursuit of Excellence with High Accountability and Human touch /li liDisciplined and optimize execution /li liPragmatic and agile /li liStrong with figures, data and analysis /li liHands‑on mentality /li liCan do attitude and result driven /li liFrom strategy thinking to actionable activities /li liTeam player, cooperative but as well being able to operate independently /li liAbility to work in an international and intercultural Team /li liAble to work under pressure and challenge /li liAbility and willingness to travel /li /ul h3What we offer? /h3 pA challenging position within a leading international production company specialized in suspension hydraulic shock absorbers.
