Tender Manager Dredging

As a Tender Manager at Van Oord, you will be an inspiring leader, taking charge of the tender process for dredging projects worldwide. These projects range from short-term ad-hoc assignments to long-term maintenance schemes, focusing on international port and fairway maintenance dredging and beach nourishment.

What Will I Be Doing as Tender Manager Dredging?

• Lead the tender process for dredging projects worldwide, utilising Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers and Water Injection Dredgers.
• Develop and execute a winning tender strategy, translating it into a technically feasible and value-adding proposal for the client.
• Identify and analyse client interests, requirements, potential risks, and opportunities with the tender team.
• Recognise critical elements to create the most attractive proposal.
• Ensure the overall quality of the tender process and submission.
• Lead, monitor, develop, and manage tender processes, activities, and resources in line with the tender schedule and standards.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a client- and collaboration-focused Tender Manager Dredging with extensive knowledge of dredging, tendering, and contracting. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, coupled with at least 5 years of experience in tenders, design, preparation, and execution of dredging projects. You should have experience in a similar role or as a project manager in dredging or marine construction, demonstrating a strong technical interest, commercial insight, and a results-oriented, winning mentality. Excellent English language skills are essential for this international role.

• Completed bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience with tenders, design, preparation, and execution of dredging projects.
• Experience in a similar role or as a project manager on dredging or marine construction projects, potentially from a consultancy or contractor background.
