Senior Service Designer - Platform Engineering

ppbThis is Adyen /b /p pAdyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, HM, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition. /p pFor our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster. /p h3About the team and the role /h3 pPlatform Engineering enables business growth by providing the shared foundation that lets Adyen engineers autonomously build and support secure, scalable, and reliable products — from data centers and networks to deployment environments and database solutions. /p pAs Senior Service Designer for Platform Engineering, you will improve the end-to-end developer experience across internal tools, workflows, and platform capabilities. The role blends service design, UX strategy, and hands-on design consultancy. You will act as the bridge between high-level strategy and tactical execution, making Platform Engineering feel and function like a single, cohesive experience rather than ~100 disconnected products. /p pYou will start with the Developer Center — the central developer platform and launch pad for everything else — then expand to the journey across the wider developer ecosystem, which today is fragmented and inconsistent. You will work on both improving what exists and shaping what comes next. /p pYou can expect an 80/20 split as you come into Adyen, where 80% of your time and work will be in service design, and 20% could involve hands-on user experience or user interface design. At Adyen, people own their career, so while this is what you can expect initially, this role will be yours to shape. /p h3Why this role /h3 ul li bGreenfield by design. /bService design as a coordinated practice does not yet exist at Adyen. You are not inheriting a playbook — you are writing it, and socializing it across PX as the example of what good looks like. /li li bReal scope, real impact. /bYour users are ~1,500 engineers. The frictions you remove and the journeys you connect translate directly into how fast Adyen can build and ship. /li li bA seat where decisions are made. /bYou will influence and co-create roadmaps and priorities with engineering and product leadership — not just respond to them. /li li bRoom to grow the craft. /bYou will teach and share service design across the PX practice, helping other designers adopt these methods and creating a multiplier effect well beyond your own projects. /li /ul h3What you’ll do /h3 pbBuild the service ecosystem. /bMap and own the end-to-end service journey for Platform Engineering. You look beyond the screen to design how people, processes, and technology work together to create a seamless experience. /p pbDrive continuous improvement across systems. /bCreate interventions that change how whole teams and systems work together, advancing the organization — not just individual features. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
