QA Engineer

This is your chance! /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liTest and validate scanner hardware across multiple models and Windows OS versions to ensure consistent performance and compatibility. /li liDesign and document scanner software and hardware deployment packages, including changelogs, to guarantee smooth delivery to customers. /li liDiagnose and troubleshoot issues related to drivers, firmware, connectivity, document scanning capabilities and chip (RFID) reading inconsistencies, and hardware‑software integration with Keesing internal software interfaces. /li liEvaluate driver and firmware updates from scanner manufacturers, identifying bugs, regressions, and inconsistencies that may impact functionality or system integration. /li liCollaborate with manufacturers’ support teams, software and cloud engineering teams to replicate issues, document findings, and support resolution of scanner issues. /li liDesign and execute structured test plans, including edge cases and stress scenarios, to ensure robustness of hardware‑software interactions. /li liMaintain detailed documentation of test results, configurations, anomalies, and recommendations for improvements. /li liWrite and maintain detailed documentation, both customer‑facing and internal, on scanner integration, maintenance, usage and troubleshooting. /li liParticipate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBSc degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field. /li liMinimum of 3 years of software testing experience, preferably in product development settings. /li liHardware testing, problem diagnosis customer‑facing experience. /li liExpert knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems interaction with USB and network devices. /li liExperience with Windows PowerShell is a must; JavaScript and Node are a nice to have. /li liExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively within a cross‑functional team and with external stakeholders. /li liStrong problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyse and debug complex hardware issues. /li liDetail oriented, pro‑active and driven. /li /ul h3Team /h3 pIn your position, you work together with engineers and developers, and you report directly to the Head of Engineering within the Product Development team.
