art'otel Amsterdam is where contemporary art, culture, gastronomy, and hospitality meet. Located opposite Amsterdam Central Station, our lifestyle hotel is home to ARCA, the vibrant Portuguese-inspired restaurant by award-winning chef Henrique Sá Pessoa. From breakfast service and creative cocktails to memorable dining experiences, this is the perfect place to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic hospitality environment.
As a Food & Beverage Intern , you become part of the daily operation, delivering service on the floor while ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable experience. This hands-on role allows you to build strong operational skills across restaurant, bar, breakfast, and events, while gaining valuable exposure to ARCA and learning how exceptional service creates unforgettable guest experiences.
This internship starts in September 2026 and offers a full-time learning experience for a minimum of 5 months, aligned with your study requirements.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality service across restaurant, bar, breakfast, and events
* Welcome guests with a warm, engaging, and professional approach
* Support mise en place, service preparation, and closing duties
* Explain menus, make recommendations, and support guests with dietary requirements
* Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and service standards are consistently maintained
* Work closely with the kitchen and team to ensure a smooth service flow
* Stay flexible and support different outlets depending on business needs
* Contribute to creating a positive, energetic, and collaborative team environment
Essential Requirements
* Currently enrolled in a hospitality, hotel management, or related study program
* Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken
* Passion for food, drinks, and guest service
* Hands-on and proactive attitude
* Flexible and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
* Availability for an internship of at least 5 months
* Eligible to complete an internship in the Netherlands
Preferred Requirements
* Previous experience or strong interest in Food & Beverage or hospitality
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
* Attention to detail and a service-oriented mindset
* Dutch or any additional language is an advantage

We provide a monthly allowance of €550, exceeding Horeca CAO (BOL) guidelines, with of job-related expenses.
