Senior Platform Engineer HiveAI

ppLove solving complex engineering challenges? Build the core platform behind HiveAI and shape the future of Enterprise AI on Azure and beyond. /p pYou'll join an international team of experienced software engineers building HiveAI itself: the platform, services and reusable capabilities that every solution on top of it depends on. One focused team, not a department, spread across several countries and working remotely by default. /p pOn the practical side, you'll be employed through the Dutch Fellowmind organisation, so we're looking for someone based in the Netherlands. Beyond that, where you work is up to you. There are no fixed office days, and our offices in Amersfoort, Deventer, Zwolle and Venlo are there whenever you feel like working alongside people. /p h3Build the platform behind Enterprise AI /h3 pAt Fellowmind we're building HiveAI: a platform for developing, deploying and operating AI solutions at scale. It gives our customers one secure, scalable foundation for enterprise AI, instead of a collection of pilots that never quite make it to production. /p pAs a Senior Platform Engineer on HiveAI, you won't be building customer-specific solutions. You'll build the platform those solutions run on: the services, frameworks and reusable capabilities that let every team downstream move faster. You take architectural designs and roadmap initiatives and turn them into production-ready software. /p pAs a key Microsoft partner we build on their stack by default, and being close to it means we get our hands on new capabilities early. But we're not dogmatic about it. Where the best tool for a problem sits outside the Microsoft ecosystem, we use it, and you'll have a say in those calls. /p pIt's a role for engineers who like solving a problem once, properly, so that a dozen teams never have to solve it again. /p bWhat you'll do /b ul liDesign and develop core HiveAI platform capabilities /li liBuild reusable services, APIs, frameworks and accelerators /li liTranslate architectural designs into scalable technical solutions /li liDevelop integrations with Microsoft AI and cloud technologies /li liImprove platform performance, security, reliability and scalability /li liImplement monitoring, observability and operational tooling /li liValidate new ideas through prototypes and proofs‑of‑concept, and turn the promising ones into production features /li liHelp shape our engineering standards, code quality and best practices /li /ul pYou'll work closely with our architects and fellow engineers to evolve the platform, with a consistent focus on quality, maintainability and automation. The stack moves quickly, so we'd rather talk it through with you than pin it to a list that's out of date by the time you read it. /p bWho you are /b pYou're a software engineer who enjoys building platforms and untangling complex technical problems. You're curious about where AI technology is heading, and you get satisfaction from building things other teams adopt and rely on. /p bYou bring: /b ul li5+ years in software, platform or cloud engineering /li liDeep development skills in at least one modern language. We work mostly in Python, TypeScript and C#, in that order, but we're not looking for a fluent match: engineers who've reached this level have picked up languages before and will again /li liExperience building cloud-native solutions on a major cloud platform (we run on Azure, but the concepts transfer) /li liExperience with DevOps, CI/CD and modern engineering practices /li liA track record of owning technical decisions, not just implementing them: you've designed systems others build on and lived with the consequences /li liProfessional proficiency in English. The team works in English, so that's the only language we require; any others you speak, Dutch included, are a bonus rather than an expectation /li /ul pHands-on experience with Microsoft's AI and cloud services is a plus. That said, we'd rather meet a strong engineer who's ready to learn our stack than someone who ticks every box. /p bWhat we offer /b pOur people are the foundation of our success, so we put real effort into making Fellowmind somewhere you want to show up. No rigid hierarchies, colleagues who actually help each other, and plenty of room to grow and share what you know. /p pWe also offer a solid benefits package, and because everyone's situation is different, part of it is flexible, so you can tailor it to what matters to you. /p bWhat you can expect: /b ul liA competitive salary based on your experience and expertise /li liA bonus scheme linked to company performance /li li28 vacation days (full-time equivalent), with the option to buy or sell days through your flexible benefits budget /li liTwo annual "care community" days for volunteering, caregiving or personal circumstances such as moving house /li liRemote or hybrid working, set up around your life rather than a fixed office quota /li liWellbeing and sports benefits, including bike leasing and a contribution towards your gym membership /li liModern offices in Amersfoort, Deventer, Zwolle and Venlo whenever you want them, with great coffee, healthy snacks and everything you need to do your best work /li liOngoing support for your personal and professional development /li /ul bWhy HiveAI? /b pHiveAI is one of Fellowmind's strategic innovation initiatives, and this role sits at its core, shaping the technical foundation that makes enterprise AI work at scale. /p pIf you like building products, turning architecture into working software, and getting your hands on the latest Microsoft AI technologies before most people do, you'll feel at home here. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
